Je ne suis pas Charlie Hebdo

January 16, 2015

If the attack on “Charlie Hebdo” was anti-semitic, so was a cartoon that one artist published in the Charlie Hebdo magazine a few years ago that got the artist fired.

After the magazine Hara-Kiri was shut down by the French government after satirizing the exaggerated mourning of De Gaulle two days after his funeral (1970!), the same people simply renamed it Charlie Hebdo and kept publishing.

You can call the attack on the kosher restaurant anti-semitic, but what do you call the blasphemous anti-Christian caricatures and the blatant anti-Islamic caricatures?

FREE SPEECH

In France there are “hate speech” laws that make Charlie Hebdo’s caricatures of Christians and Muslims illegal, but they are only enforced against “anti-semitism”.

Among the sea of the reported three million demonstrators for “free speech” with “Je suis Charlie” buttons (how could they print that many in only a week?), a policeman ordered one of them to remove his “Je suis Kouachi” button (the name of one of the killers).

Only 48 hours after people marched for “free speech” in the streets of Paris, France opened criminal proceedings against comedian Dieudonné for his speech they said was “defending terrorism”. This was only one of 54 new such cases for “condoning terrorism”.

In a land that imprisons you for expressing banned opinions (and facts too!), these heads of state stand with the leaders that imprison you for saying it out loud?

How long before they ban statements like “Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven”? They are already working on that by the way and they have already muzzled teachers in taxpayer/theft-funded government indoctrination centers even in the U.S.

How long before they warn cops to be on the lookout in America for dangerous people with “Ron Paul” bumper stickers on their cars? –Oh, they already did that! Five years ago!

And try to publish an ad in the States with pictures from Deir Yassin after the Irgun massacre of the entire town. You think anybody will publish it?

These “conservative” neo-cons, children of Trotskyite Communists, never want to cut back welfare programs, and they always want to keep the US in war. They are both programs designed to bankrupt the country’s economy and mold its culture into forming pliant obedient subjects.

Disappearing Old Left Media still thinks they’re relevant

December 27, 2014

NY Mag says Fox News is old news, and the only reason it has clout is because “liberals” pay attention to it;
http://nymag.com/news/frank-rich/fox-news-2014-2/index1.html
___Very funny: Look at this major attempt at spin control by introducing a paragraph to try to say it by admitting with an admission that Fox News is still first:

“The notion that Fox News has been defeated would seem absurd if you judge solely by the numbers. The year just ended was the network’s twelfth in a row as the most-watched cable-news network. Its number of total viewers surpasses CNN and MSNBC combined.”

Sounds like the favorite word of left-fascists (aka “liberals”): irony. They go on dissing Fox’s crown by saying cable news audiences are not so big. Never mind that the left-fascist cable channels are doing so much worse. They piggyback the spin on the broadcast networks’ news shows. But that audience has tottered between stable and declining with the Internet assault on all things canned-packages-TV, cable and broadcast.

But what it means really is, that people who are actually engaged with current events and the signs of the times, and find news-themed cable, prefer FNC over the rest of them.

http://3tig6l1jk542ohu6241qxor1.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/photo-3.jpeg

Truth is, people still seem to find it easier to watch broadcast.

There is another factor, too. Direct-TV, and almost all cable providers, refuse to carry Fox News channel as part of the basic package, but they carry CNN.

The fact is, the big and exponential expansion in news audiences is not even in the news feeds of the traditional media of all types. The biggest and fastest-growing audience is the voracious appetite of those who seek an alternative to the party-cartel power-elite party lines, scouring the Internet for the truth, because they do not believe alphabet soup media or the old and now obsolete international media feeds.

http://3tig6l1jk542ohu6241qxor1.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/photo-3.jpeg

Honduran-Americans found a more truthful media, in fact, coming from their own birthplace country, than in any of the big international sources. For a time during 2009, those sources became alternative news media and more trustworthy than Reuters feeds, or, for example nymag.com web pages.

That means Fox News is losing growth in its clout it could have had, because there are certain areas where it has limits to how much truth it will tell.

REPORTERS ARE 85 PERCENT DEMOCRAT PARTY

They try to make hay out of quotes by network execs that Fox News is a GOP outlet, but do not mention the percentage of reporters at traditional media, old media, that are registered Democrat Party voters, (85% by a recent survey) and even higher percentage of the editors (90%).

People were sick of hearing the same thing everywhere, one party line, so they fast made FNC Number One in cable news when it came available. People watched it for some of the news and details they knew were missing on the broadcast-to-TV transplant style used first by CNN. When the Internet broke, they did that and much more for “alternative” news sites that were publishing facts and figures that the so-called “mainstream” media have blacklisted.

Like the real world news about the way the Fed has caused the woes blamed on everyone else.

After decades of NY Mag peddling its Orwellian rubric of pretending to be an objective observer, bares its fangs by blaming Fox for what it does itself. Pot, meet kettle.

Fox News may be a propaganda machine, but of course NY Mag, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, have never been part of any propaganda machine.
(When you pick yourself up off the floor, we’re still here, satirical humor at no extra charge).

ALL of them were exposed during Iowa caucus season when all the left-fascist news shows joined the right-fascist news shows and skipped Ron Paul in the third spot, instead listing the three front runners as the ones who got #1, #2 and #4 in that race.

NY Mag pot, meet kettle.

Spin control: Angelo Carusone of Soros- and Clintonista-created Media Matters acknowledging the war on Fox was over had two main reasons having nothing to do with the attempt at self-fulfilling declarations of the death of the only outlet that made a pretension of acknowledging that Americans were upset at big government with the Tea Party. They realized their war on free speech they didn’t like was backfiring. Second, they decided to try other tacks to pull the peons of all colors back into the “liberal plantation”.

FOX LOSING YOUNG VIEWERS FASTER THAN ITS COMPETITORS?

If that’s so, it’s not just because of smart phones and Internet news. It’s also because the more libertarian viewers, who got some tidbits at FNC that the competitors blacklisted, found better sources for news.
Now they have http://www.lewrockwell.com, Ron Paul’s Peace Institute at http://www.ronpaulinstitute.com, Ben Swann’s Reality Check and Truth in Media project, and even the fringe stuff where people can decide in the marketplace of ideas whether they find something credible or not.

Fox a retirement community? Ha.

Here is something the author says that should be a badge of pride for any self-respecting thinking group: ‘Sherman writes, “Ailes’s audience seldom watches anything” on television but Fox News’. And after the abysmal failings of leftist predictions, kettle saying the pot’s predictions were wrong were as laughable as all of the predictions themselves.
Austrian economists could have told them, DID tell them, that individuals are unpredictable, and that groups are made up of individuals acting on individual motivations.

They try to cackle about the divide at Fox that reflects the conservative and libertarian rebellion against the Country Club Republican party bosses that they pretend to hate. They try to ignore the fact that the same young demographic and many of the older old-line youth that used to be a lock for their favorite leftist candidates, are joining this rebellion against old-line leftists as much as rightists.

And “Chauvinistic Christianity”? Really? At the station that pointedly refuses to bring on articulate spokespersons for organizations like Exodus International and Dennis Prager on the homosexual marriage and related issues?

GOBSMACKED

Many of us real-world people were indeed gobsmacked by the reelection of Obama by the same electorate that returned the Republican majority to the House. But who was gobsmacked in 2010 and 2014? Was anybody surprised?

A PREMATURE OBITUARY:

The last paragraph is what we used to call “whistling Dixie”:

Without Ailes and his Fox News to kick around anymore, the left may feel a bit disoriented—much as the right most certainly will once its unifying bête noire (literal and figurative), Obama, is gone from the White House. But while the right remains obsessed with fighting its unending war against a nearly lame-duck president, it behooves liberals to move on and start transitioning out of their Fox fixation. Paradoxically enough, the most powerful right-wing movement in the country, the insurgency in the Republican grassroots, loathes the Boehner-Christie-Rove-centric Fox News nearly as much as the left does. The more liberals keep fighting the last war against the more and more irrelevant Ailes, the less prepared they’ll be for the political war to come.

Very funny. “Liberals” as they call themselves in the US today, are clueless. They still think in this age of the Internet they’re still relevant. The web outlet of the dying left-fascist theme press cackling glee over the decline of the Number One cable news network. It’s like the candle-maker laughing at the buggy whip makers because they’re declining while pretending they’re both not getting pushed into the oblivion of history together by the young folks.

Because the youth are waking up in ever greater numbers to a new paradigm driven by libertarian perspectives. The Right and the Left both in America, indeed the world, hate this trend. Right now, just like they did with the Ron Paul candidacy, they are fighting it by ignoring the reality as best they can. But that won’t last too much longer. They’ve actually already tested moving into Gandi’s laugh-at-you phase. That will last about five minutes and they’ll have to accelerate into crying wolf. They’re dangerous.

Well, Christians and libertarians are dangerous to the powers that be, that’s for sure. Families and Biblical Christians have been suffering under pseudo-Christian and pagan kings and emperors and chieftans for two thousand years, their Hebrew believing predecessors even longer.
But the ideas of liberty and peace and neighborliness that Christ preached have overtaken the world. Now libertarians have discovered their own version of the Golden Rule.
The idea whose time has come.

The war to enslave the free

November 2, 2014

The purpose of the War between the States was to kill the idea of secession. Slavery was secondary. Lincoln once supported an amendment to enshrine slavery if it would “save the Union”. It was not the war to free the slaves but to enslave the free.

Lincoln ordered at least one escaped slave returned to his master in UNION state Missouri. The Emancipation Proclamation ONLY applied to the SOUTHERN states, NOT Missouri or Maryland, Delaware or Kentucky. To this day Mississippi folks consider Kentucky as “North”.

The thirteen colonies of the Continental Congress committed the sin of secession from England,

England committed the sin of seceding from Rome.

Kosovo committed the sin of seceding from Serbia, supported by Clinton’s bombs.

Southern Sudan committed the sin of secession from Sudan.

A dozen members of the USSR seceded from the USSR.

Ukraine seceded from USSR and Crimea seceded from Ukraine.

Pakistan and India seceded from each other.

Israel seceded from the British Palestinian Mandate, and the Palestinians seceded from Israel.

Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica seceded from Spain, led by Francisco Morazan. Indian Chief Lempira is a national anti-imperialist hero in Honduras.

Haiti seceded from France, then invaded the rest of Hispaniola, then the Dominican Republic seceded from Haiti.

Bernardo O’Higgins liberated (won secession for) Chile from Spain.

Angola seceded from Portugal.

Zimbabwe seceded from the British Empire.

Botswana seceded from South Africa.

Curacao seceded from Netherlands.

Surinam seceded from Netherlands.

The Lutherans seceded from Rome.

The Salvation Army seceded from the Methodists.

The Pilgrims seceded from Europe.

Texas seceded from Mexico.

All of Europe seceded from the Roman Empire.

St. Louis seceded from St. Louis County.

El Doral, Miami Lakes, and El Portal seceded from Miami-Dade County unincorporated government.

Cuba and the Philippines seceded from Spain.

Panama seceded from Columbia.

Taiwan seceded from Communist China.

Most of us would be happy if California seceded from the USA.

Ron Paul talks sense on “border crisis”

July 17, 2014

Ron Paul talks clarity to the “border crisis”:

http://www.thedailybell.com/editorials/35474/Ron-Paul-Whats-Missing-in-the-Current-Immigration-Crisis-Debate/

My wife is from Honduras, and I know from experience of relatives that the coyotes have known that the Border Patrol treats minors very differently from the younger ones. The cover story of coyotes pushing lies about it are wrong. Why would they change?

Rumor has a strong effect down there, especially when it comes to stories about immigrating to the US.

But they also get the news reports down there, and USA treatment of incoming bodies from southward is always big news. So they have heard all last year the noise from Congress (Dems AND Repubs of course talking about “paths to citizenship”), and this year about Obama announcing unilaterally he’s going to stop deporting people, they hear it. (News flash: Obama has maybe deported more than previous presidents back to Honduras and presumably other countries). So they’ve paid more attention.

They already knew minors are treated well when they show up, especially unaccompanied.

BUT these “children” are about 90 percent 15 to 17 years old, and about 90 or 93 percent of those are males, according to one report. But that only confirmed my suspicions. It’s said they’re fleeing the gang violence, and for many that may be so, but there may be more than that.

Thanks Ron Paul. He’s absolutely right. The drug wars are killing the country. It’s called “murder capital” and some of it is gangs, but maybe even most of it is rivals in the drug wars. The best kind of “foreign aid” the USA can “give” to Honduras is to stop the drug wars altogether, and for the sake of the poor, stop giving money to the governments for this and that, especially these onerous “loans”.

IRONY: Joe Biden went down there to demand that Central American countries control their borders. Get it? But Honduras already controls the minors leaving at border stations. Central American nations have an agreement to allow free movement of their citizens within the group. On paper anyway. (But really, Honduras doesn’t let just any Nicaraguan walk across.) BUT minors have to get permission from the father to leave the country in a legal document, unless the mother gets complete legal guardianship (“custody” as we call it).

Biden to Central America: Control Your Borders!

July 12, 2014
The US is acting like the arrogant bully that (somebody) promised would stop. Only now it’s “under the radar”, by which I mean that (somehow) all these things that add up to (something).
I am 110 percent in favor of all the “richer” countries cutting off 100 percent of ALL government-to-government aid to other countries, and that includes government-to-NGO’s. Almost all the international NGOs are the ones that are favored by the political powers; some are not; maybe they’re “tokens”.
“Foreign aid”, like Ron Paul said, “robs the poor in rich countries to give to the rich in the poor countries”. And it makes the politicians in recipient countries beholden to the political powers in “donor” countries instead of to their own citizens. So said the well-known economist from Zambia, Dambisa Moyo.
I told my Honduran wife “Great!” when they told me Orlando was in Brazil instead of meeting with the US VP. The Yanks summoned Central America to control their borders! Let that sink in for a minute! Biden, the Yanks VP, told the Presidents of Guatemala, El Salvador and the Honduras representatives to control their borders!?
There’s *always* something more to stories like this. Official spokespersons are saying it’s coyotes spreading this word in Central America, but they’ve known for *many* years that children get across the border easily.  So what is it the “journalists” are not saying?
Another thing the old traditional news sources are not reporting is that something like 90 percent of these “children” and “minors” are 15 to 17 years of age. The reports on Corporate Media say that that they are fleeing violence in Central America. For some of them, especially those rushing to join parents up north, that may be true. But remember what Castro did with his prison population during the Mariel boat-lift?
No little hatchlings these. And like my wife told me Orlando said, if parents are sending the younger children with coyotes who not only routinely rape and abuse them, they do it as a routine.
The best thing the United States can do first for Honduras is (1) immediately stop “helping” them, especially the government (leave it to people who care about the poor) and (2) immediately cease the drug wars, both here and there.  (3) And after that, stop trying to tell everybody what they have to do. And most important of all (4) Buy! Their! Products!
For (1),  you can’t say you’re helping the poor by demanding governments do it. Governments have to steal the money from lots of people (you and me, but never he!) that otherwise would use it to actually help the poor. Especially the kids. Recent numbers showed that child abuse is *eight times higher* for children in government custody than for kids who live with their parents. Even the usual mouths on Disappearing Dinosaur Networks are trying to tell the anti-immigration protestors that “we” (in the U.S.) have to help these kids because they’re living as many as 100 with one toilet, some are getting raped, etc., etc.
She did NOT mean herself in the “we” because she was talking about the government, not herself. Glenn Beck is taking supplies to the kids. One of the problems is that the USG (US GOvernment) is not allowing anybody to talk to any of the kids, even US Congressmen, and prohibits all recording devices including all cell phones, smart phones or not for the VIPs that are allowed to visit.
I’m glad that “God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man seweth that shall he also reap.” And that it is never too late to do the right thing from this point on

The Pope condemns inequality again, still does not offer to equalize himself

May 10, 2014

You can’t cure an infection by injecting flesh-eating bacteria, and you can’t solve inequality by legislating righteousness.

Jesus cared for the poor by feeding them, healing them, teaching them righteousness and diligence, by inspiring works of charity around the world, by the story of the Good Samaritan that resonates throughout the millenia and the world.

He didn’t care for the poor by getting the Romans to establish giveaways for the poor.

The Good Samaritan used HIS OWN money to help the victim in the road. He did NOT go and rob somebody else to use THEIR money to help the victim in the road.

Thou shalt not steal. (Oh, but they’re only rich if they stole it? Inequality is theft?) Good thinking, not. Government takes want it wants by force, by definition. And demagoguery by this first Jesuit Pope in history, same as the rest, is only exposed by the hypocrisy of it all:

https://trutherator.wordpress.com/2014/05/03/pope-condemns-inequality-praises-his-own-heirarchy/

Note that this Pope never ever condemns the thefts that his predecessors have committed over these hundreds of years. So many major riches gotten by the Inquisitors, condemning victims who committed the heinous crime of actually reading the Bible, and grabbing their riches, just like today’s confiscation laws used by law enforcers across the USA.

The silence of this Pope, this one more than any of them, for example, on using some of the untold BILLIONS in assets of the VATICAN to help the poor.

The only “violence” Jesus did was precisely when he saw the MONEY CHANGERS in the temple ROBBING the POOR by way of FRAUD.

IS THE POPE DEMANDING THAT THE MONEY CHANGERS OF THE CENTRAL BANKS OF THE WORLD STOP THEIR GRAND THEFT NATION LOOTING???!!!

This Pope’s administration did a dressing-down on that German bishop that was flaunting the rich man’s life. I wonder what he thinks as he walks through the halls of the Vatican, ponders all the Michelangelo art in their cathedrals in Rome, or considers the vast array of million-dollar art in their possession around the world, or when he looks at the Vatican income statement and the line items with their billions of investments around the world.

The Roman Catholic Church is one of the richest capitalist institutions in the entire world. It at least benefits from it, just like every other socialist institution in history.

No, he’s demanding more of it. Because when the rulers of this world (this Pope is one of them now) help the poor, they themselves do it with the loot of their theft. And the result has proven, over and over, that this does not work to help the poor, it just impoverishes everyone but the rulers.

Taxation is theft. That was the meaning of the plaque on Ron Paul’s desk, “Don’t steal, the government hates competition”.

Ron Paul says Obama’s Drone Wars Undermine American Values

April 28, 2014

His comments are found at the Daily Bell:

http://www.thedailybell.com/editorials/35250/Ron-Paul-Obamas-Drone-Wars-Undermine-American-Values/

One big thing I like about Daily Bell is that they carefully analyze events, look for context, and make clear that what you see –in the regular news media fare- is not always what you get. No WSYWIG there, no sir. And it’s early to call for war crimes tribunals, as there is not sufficient infrastructure (yet anyway) to enforce them. Education will do its job. Ron Paul’s campaign to educate the American body politic is a good example of the greater effectiveness of this. The numbers of both those who are aware, both veterans in forums and publications, and the newly aware, will continue to grow despite the hysterical efforts of the Powers That Be to explain everything in Controlled Media in ways that pretend that there is no liberty movement. As long as there is a sector of the Internet that is free, and it is still possible to spread facts and the real stories at these electronic speeds, it will continue to grow. In fact, it will continue on in some form, even if they implement Lieberman’s wet dream of an Internet “off-switch…like China has.” Like China!

The USA has certainly supported fascists, drug lords and terrorists many places, and “installed” a few. But as a libertarian anarcho-capitalist myself, it is evident to me most left-fascists and libertarians alike, sometimes ascribe too much power to the CIA overseas. I call libertarians especially to telescope to a view of these world events from a higher altitude. I’ll bet you that some analysts within the intelligence apparatus have an inflated view of their own power.

For example, no matter how much Hugo Chavez and later Maduro blamed CIA plots for what Hondurans did in 2009, whatever the CIA did was irrelevant. My wife is from there, and it made me nervous that it might become another Venezuelan vassal state. If they paid out money here or there, they totally wasted all of it, because the overwhelming majority of the people of that country were dedicated to getting rid of the guy they supposedly elected earlier. It was a bit of a surprise even to me, since most of the poor are inclined toward looting the rich. I believe it’s possible Hugo Chavez won the first election, even though in my opinion he’s perfectly capable of committing fraud.

But I realized later that even many of the poor in Honduras are somewhat educated now about events elsewhere, and there is an Internet effect there too. It helped that apparently the media seems somewhat less subservient to the politicians, and some of the local elite families saw socialism as inimical to their own interests. There were probably a few of them also “hedging their bets” and secretly supporting the auto-coup plotter Zelaya, including one famous perennial presidential candidate who was accused very publicly of smuggling him into the Brazilian embassy.

Not all poor people are stupid or ignorant. Hondurans who hate poverty and who are capable of thinking analytically at all, they do NOT want an economy like Cuba’s or Venezuela’s. They know theirs has been corrupt, but they would rather not jump into the abyss of permanent poverty just like that. More so the middle class there.

Hillary Clinton made a personal call to Zelaya and told him to resign, and so open the door for the socialist president that the American ambassador had supported in the efforts to establish his lifetime national socialist Chavista fiefdom. Yes he did. What the CIA does is secret, but in the small-town social environment of a country like Honduras, not everything can be kept secret. Hugo Llorens appeared in some of the televised propaganda for the propaganda cover for the overt stage of the auto-coup, the takeover manifest”referendum”.

The “demonstrations” in favor of Zelaya were padded with paid bodies. Chavez poured so much money in that the lempira rose a full 10% against the dollar for a few weeks while they tried to make a show of it for the world.

The CIA may have been doing its thing there, no doubt, but keep in mind that the FSS and FIS (successors to the KGB and the GRU) are not exactly dead, and Chavez was all about intervention himself. He offered President Micheletti $3 million dollars to resign, poured money in for marches (that never reached the numbers of the pro-Micheletti, anti-Zelaya, anti-Chavez, or even the irate protests against CNN and its reporter, who was distorting the situation there.

Socialism does not need any CIA intervention to collapse under its own destructive weight. The CIA often does, always does, intervene for its own purposes. But let us not kid ourselves. Sometimes it may act in a manner you least expect, also. Moles are not rare anywhere, and the Venona papers of course corroborated the accusations of Senator McCarthy that the State Department was infiltrated by outright Communists that reported to the Soviet Union.

And who can doubt the jubilation of East Germans when the Berlin Wall fell and they were able to join the “more free” market and prosperity of West Germany?

Who can doubt that 90% of North Koreans would seize the chance to migrate to South Korea?

Who can doubt that the United States today just might have more Cubans than Cuba itself? And remember, Cuba cannot blame the embargo either, since every other nation in the world allows trade with them.

And even with the case of Chile, almost nobody ever hears the fact that the Congress in Chile, lacking a constitutional method to impeach and dethrone the dictatorship of Salvador Allende, voted 81 to 47, on August 22, 1973, for a resolution demanding the immediate cessation of Allende’s unconstitutional actions, that he cease arming leftist cadres, and a series of other demands, PLUS they demanded the removal of Allende from office. The military did nothing until the Congress demanded it, because of the economic damage and the violence that the regime had propagated.

This was even dubbed a “trade secret” by leftist journalists in Latin America: That they begrudgingly knew, admitted among themselves, that Pinochet’s actions had resulted in a much more prosperous Chile. And that was before they joined the G-7 club of “developed” nations.

Let me restate here though that I am absolutely opposed to US intervention abroad, all of it.

But many actions seem even engineered to hurt American interests, of which drone strikes are a “striking” example. Even if the orders that go forth for those actions are not purposed to hurt the country, they may be an example of God’s warnings that he would “turn back” the weapons in the hands of a nation under judgment. (Jeremiah 21:4)

God is NOT dead, but dead churches are. But Jesus is risen!

April 27, 2014

Reason’s Nick Gillespie has penned an article that points to his “latest column up at Time“. That’s the magazine that was going bankrupt without any offers from the hoped-for buyers until another leftist millionaire saved it for *one*, that’s right, one, dollar.

The first paragraph he quotes at www.reason.com:

These days, God is dead everywhere except at movie theaters. But rest easy, America, that doesn’t mean we’re spiraling into an amoral abyss or a lawless society. Indeed, by most indicators of anti-social behavior, things have never been better.

Hey, Nick, did you really think about that? The biggest organization in the United States that has the most guns and big firepower in the country just went through an episode in which they threatened to shoot down the peaceful demonstrators. After Waco, do you doubt they would have done it, if not for the cameras watching them? And just maybe, some people who had come to support the victim and who were ready to shoot back?

The entire flying public in the land is groped, molested and radiated by the biggest armed gang in the country, the federal government, 2 million!, that’s millions, every single day, in an act that violates the supreme law of the land, and this is not a lawless society on the abyss? Or do you think this aggression is peaceful and lawful simply because the public accepts it?

Reason’s web site itself reports on the growing problem of abuse rained upon the subjects of our new national fiefdom by the enforcers of the law.

The national culture has also grown in the easier acceptance of the taking of human life, too. Four states already have legislation permitting physician-assisted suicide. There are babies newly born alive across the land that have a sign above their crib in hospitals that read “N.B.O.”: “Nothing by mouth”. They would never call it “IBS”, would they? (“Infanticide By Starvation”).

Is not partial birth abortion a brutal procedure more reminiscent of a society that accepts aggression against its most helpless neighbors? Call it legalized lawlessness, what it is.

And it’s incredible that with a wave of a hand you think you can dismiss what you said in your second quoted paragraph?

Even as polls and church-attendance records show the U.S. is becoming a more secular, less pious country, current films such as Heaven is for Real (based on a best-selling account of a four-year-old boy’s supposed trip to the afterlife) and Noah (based on the Old Testament’s account of the Great Flood) have done boffo business.

Noah is closing in on $100 million, the line that separates mere hits from blockbusters, and Heaven is for Real easily bested Johnny Depp’s poorly reviewed meditation on computer-enabled immortality, Transcendence. God’s Not Dead, a drama about a college freshman challenging his professor’s atheism, is also performing strongly, and so is Son of God, the latest cinematic version of the life of Jesus.

Expect to see more Christian and religiously themed movies as a result…. Yet there’s no reason to think that such movies will do anything to stanch the broad and ongoing decline in religiosity. And there’s even less reason to worry about the trend toward a less godly country….

Your question at the end for comment, in my opinion, may even show a suspicion in your own mind that you are missing something.

It’s certain that people are “less religious” than before, and they are, according to the generalized statistics. But here again we have a very disparate collection of groups in such surveys, all incorporated into totals that treat them all as one blob.

What you missed is the movement OUT of the churches and out of the traditionally recognized churches that go into the official counts and are used for the surveys, but the ones who have the strongest faith are not quitting Christ or Christianity.

Instead, Christians are finding fellowship and Bible study in the form of volunteer service in soup kitchens, old homes, schools and elsewhere, and of course in home fellowships.

You also missed something else. Part of why Christianity is in decline is the way itwas enticed into joining government registration systems, a result associated with Senator LyndonBaynes Johnson’s insertion of “religious organizations” into the IRS tax legislation. The influence of Bush’s “faith-based initiative” is an example of Montesquieu  insight that the best way to diminish Christian faith by giving them benefits.

So of course government-sponsored and government-blessed religiosity is in decline. The false shepherds and the ones who seek easy benefit will abandon the institutions when it gets difficult.

In general, it may still decline. But let me take a stab at a guess. I’ll bet that with Ron Paul’s campaign you were surprised, even startled, at the great numbers of people you discovered that rushed to support him and came out of the censorship-enforced woodwork to blast out messages proclaiming how Christianity’s strongest doctrine of the love of God and the love of others directly means obeisance to the non-aggression principle.

Christians are already hated in many places. But do not think that atheism offers a transcendent basic morality to support the non-aggression principle. Christianity’s Golden Rule does. I hope you know what it says. I’ve been told there are many who don’t know that the “Golden Rule” is, except for the stupid joke you hear sometimes.

Palin and McCain

February 2, 2014

McCain and staff set up Palin to pretend he wanted to win, and for the Government-Media complex a personified target to slam the “right” and to slam the “religious”. Some of them echo a certain tyrant’s tirades against a certain religious group as dangerous and responsible for all the nations woes. Discerning the signs in the sky (Think it’ll rain today?) but not the signs of the times.

The nomination was a gift for cronyism, but was never meant to win, so the statist cronies felt “safe” in putting her name up so the “right-wing” could take the blame for McCain’s miserable failure at winning the election but success at taking the fall as obviously intended.

And so they got Bush’s wars expanded with Obama, kept Guantanamo going, expanded his claim of power to kill whomever he deems “enemy of the state”, expanded their unconstitutional police state “total information awareness” programs and kill lists, added supporters of anti-war peacenik Ron Paul to the enemies list, brought declared Marxists and Mao sycophants into the cabinet alongside Wall Street bankers, and generally continued their program of centralized power in the imperial capital.

Liberty is getting traction with the youth. They are not fooled anymore by the two-party choices, who say one thing and do another. Ron Paul showed what a real peace movement looks like, and what an honest advocate for liberty would do, and what an honest Congressmen (No Sale for Lobbyists) looks like..

Left-fascists riot in Honduras Congress, democracy, and individual freedom

February 1, 2014

Herein read my reaction to comments in La Gringa’s “blogicito”, found at the following link:

This episode of changing rules in Honduras just shows the general peril of ANY government. Democracy is NOT any “better” than any other form of government. Power corrupts. Taxation is extortion by definition, no matter how many of the majority vote for it. Follow the law or go to jail. By the way, though, I read various articles on the proceedings, and they are not the end of the democracy as depicted, so much as a lot of noise and riot by a party founded by people who in power did much worse, of course.

The United States’ long history is the best attempt maybe along those lines, and look where it is now. The “strong media” of the 19th century is now a sycophantic mouthpiece for more control over every piece of your life by government. The best example of this is their treatment of the champion of individual freedom in the United States in his presidential campaign, Ron Paul.

But college kids loved him. He was different, and showed character by shutting down lobbyists, like Larry Abrammoff said in a Q&A on CSpan once, he was one that you could not get anything from him with offers of money. Otherwise, he said they’re more or less all for sale.

Centralization of power in the United States began with the Constitution, had a false start with Alexander Hamilton’s central bank baby, which Andrew Jackson killed off, got a second wind with Abraham Lincoln, and then accelerated after the Federal Reserve Bank was created and populated with the bankers they were supposedly going to regulate for the people’s interest, and it was created after a campaign that pretended it was to stop their abuses. The Income Tax was another abuse enacted the same year. It’s an abuse because I don’t have the right to tell you how much you get to keep of the fruits of your labor and how much you have to pay me for “protection”. Even if you vote for me. Theft is theft. Or call it extortion if you must, because it depends also on how “stable” such thieves are in office.

At least by a vote they have to got through pretense.

Allende was voted a plurality in Chile, and when he began ruling as an economic and political tyrant, the Congress had no constitutional remedy, so they passed a resolution DEMANDING that the military stop him. Allende did not yield to diplomatic pressure, either, and a lot of that saw the (again) sycophantic controlled “strong” media cheering Allende for cutting down Anaconda copper.

The media (outside Honduras) did not report the abused Allende perpetrated any more than they did Zelaya’s. But in 2009 we already had the Internet. So the only mainstream reporting during both abusive regimes was condemnatory of the moves against leftist-fascism.

Think not; more centralized control is their game plan. At least that’s what they do. Some as zombies, true, but nonetheless.

That’s why hope for Honduras, in my opinion, has two grounds for optimism.

ONE, the fact that one of the poorest country in Latin America, and that was already saturated by violent gangs and the same demagaguery as Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, and even Argentina and Brazil, nonetheless pushed back against the tyranny.

TWO, they worked quickly to find a way to bring Honduras out of the vicious poverty swamp. They scoured the world and brought people from Chile to share how they became the first Latin American developed country. They investigated the examples of South Korea (contrast with North Korea) and Hong Kong and China’s special economic zones (that copy the HK model), Singapore, that became prosperous while their neighbors sank in the mire.

The politics is noisy in Honduras right now, and the dirty laundry is now public, but it was always thus. It’s just that after 2009, they have to stay clean, at least until the sons of the Chavez-Zelaya-Castro marriage grab a majority or plurality.

It was always much WORSE in fact. I have certain knowledge that many of the Congress years past were into the kinds of business that would make Al Capone blush. And that includes some of those now demanding “democracy” from the controlling coalition.

Fighting over the spoils of conquest is what this is, and people must push back against any government having any power at all to loot anybody.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the  blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised…

Matthew 17:24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
