Politifact lies: Pants on Fire!

January 11, 2012

Politifact arrogantly claims to hold the corner on truth. A lot of militants that criticize Christians with this same meaningless charge (they themselves are culpable, claiming to know better than Christians) run to their “findings” like this one as if it were the last word on it:

They fall back on the old definition of a socialist as one who believes in government ownership of the means of production and distribution in an economy.

This pretension falls under what we all know is another legitimate definition of socialism, found at, from the American Heritage Dictionary:

2. The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved.

And then there is Fabian socialism, a term adopted to refer to the stepwise sneaky way of implementing it promoted by the Fabian Society, one which has been adopted today by many who scoff at the mere suggestion that they are “socialist” while doing all the steps that a socialist would do:

Fabian Society – an association of British socialists who advocate gradual reforms within the law leading to democratic socialism

And then there is Obama‘s claim to Teddy Roosevelt‘s proclamation of the foundation of socialist ideology, which is the idea that the government actually owns everything you have but lets you “keep title” to what it thinks you deserve to keep:

“The New Nationalism,” Roosevelt proclaimed, “rightly maintains that every man holds his property subject to the general right of the community to regulate its use to whatever degree the public welfare may require it.”

That’s right, Politifact, you are wrong! Busted! Pants on Fire!

And when you play with fire like you have done here, you get burned!

Socialism is better described as theft and plunder, a government taking whatever it wants.

Obama invokes Teddy Roosevelt’s Speech: “Your property is not yours!”

December 8, 2011

I heard that our president is quoting Teddy Roosevelt. Fitting.

Teddy Roosevelt helped start the road toward socialism, talking about making the federal government grow so it can stomp on property rights, and getting Americans to swallow it whole. That’s the socialist motto in a nutshell, encapsulated in the income tax:

“The New Nationalism,” Roosevelt proclaimed, “rightly maintains that every man holds his property subject to the general right of the community to regulate its use to whatever degree the public welfare may require it.”

There it is, folks. But what people don’t realize is that when they vote for this thinking it’s only the “rich” and the “monopolists” that will get the hit, they are really voting for the idea that nothing they have is theirs and that we need rulers over us. We need some lords and knights who protect us, and it only costs what the other lords and knights took from us.

Even Nebucchadnezzar did even better than these guys, though. They took the oppressive nobles of Israel captive to Babylon and gave all the vineyards and orchards to the poor of the land.

The Roosevelt speech says that government should set the conditions where the poor can have every opportunity as the rich. But the only way to let the poor avail themselves of opportunity is stay out of their way.

The principle that the peoples’s “persons, houses, papers, and effects” must be respected as “The right of the people to be secure in” them, covers THE POOR as much as the rich.

In fact, keeping government out of the way of the free market does more for the poor than the rich, because government interference creates incentives for cheating, because the government usually own most of the guns.

So ever since Theodore Roosevelt opened up a wider frontal attack against the American people by government control over the free exchange among individuals, it has only gotten worse to the extent now that the corruption is destroying all wealth. The parasite is consuming the host from within.

What makes people think that human nature will magically change in government by banning corporations? The officials that were corrupted by dreams of corporate largesse will only look elsewhere to satiate their appetites for money and power, but without answering to outside interests. Or the government that warps its conscience this way throws out the corporate masters and goes for national socialism, which is a twin of international socialism. These two are the same thing with different clothing.

Socialism never works, it eats itself. Even the Antichrist Dictatorship, which will require its “mark” for all economic activity, will come to its end, and the Beast himself, and “none shall help him at the end”, it says.
