How about letting a bit of “reason” into the discussion on orientation?

September 7, 2014

Opposing views “deserve no time for the critical thinker.”? Since when is any of us omniscient?

I welcome challenges to my beliefs based in reason. My belief in the Bible is based on reason. I have seen more challenges in a year to them than you will probably face in a lifetime. One of my favorite Bible verses starts with “Come let us reason together” and there is another that refers to “more than 500 witnesses” that saw and met with Christ after Resurrection. And another “Prove me now herewith and see”. So I welcome a respectful exchange of ideas.

Most people in our world today, even in the USA, have been exposed to the ideas of liberty. This is why we have the advantage in debates. Most people have never heard of them. They have never heard challenges to their favorite national heroes, or the ideas that their governments feed to them. Look how quickly they are jumping at the chance to kick ISIS ass. An Internet friend who despises Dems even said we should shake the dust off the bombers and fighters again.

They only know what their rulers saw fit to tell them. We grew up swimming in it, we know all their lies, but we now know them for what they are.

Government media organs did not allow any debate whatsoever on the issues revolving around homosexuality. Come after my certain “loved one” over his orientation and God help me, I hope to stop the bullet with my own chest. But if I help him or another stop smoking, to use a less abused example, it’s not because I hate him or have a bad attitude (others do), it’s because I love him. Even if you might thinking smoking does no harm and it’s only because society stigmatizes it or refuses to invest in cures for the harms of smoking.

If a male thinks he’s female, are you going to believe him or his lying Y-chromosome DNA? “Accept me for what I am.”

We used to get moralizing Hollywood stories that preached at us that we should “accept ourselves for who we are” instead of thinking we should follow somebody’s artificial idea, or trying to strive for something that went against our nature.

Send a “blind”, anonymous, DNA sample to the lab without commentary. “Does this DNA come from a male or female?” What do you think they will answer.

Boy Scouts – reaction

Lots of people are quitting the Boy Scouts:
Boy Scouts’ decision on gays tests loyalty of members – Washington Times

So, instead of admitting they had lied when they joined the Scouts, refused to quit when they found out that “gay” scouts were not welcome, instead they did the closet thing and then tried to make themselves honest and cover the guilt they felt all that time by making the Scouts change instead of themselves.

Now they feel partially vindicated, but now you’ll see the adult “gays” that used to be Scouts and want to be scoutmasters will keep on pushing for “gay” scoutmasters.

It’s because it’s such a traditionally rooted organization, it’s a target for changing everybody else, not for equal treatment.

Equal treatment would have been for an alternative organization. No, they want to take over the existing infrastructure politically, get all that propaganda potential. Now instead of correcting scouts for using pejoratives for “gays”, they will tell them that it doesn’t matter whether the psychology fits the physiology or not.

The Boy Scouts of America has just made a much bigger decision that just allowing “gay” boys to join their ranks. There is a HUGE BIG change more than just admission policies. If it’s okay for boys, why not for anybody? They can no longer say that homosexuality or sodomy is bad for boys, so how can they restrict them from being scoutmasters?

It’s a so-called “compromise” that is much more a surrender than a compromise.

That’s what happens when you don’t have the conviction for what you say you believe.

They should have thundered about it, but I guess the de facto monopoly position the leaders thought they had was too much temptation, too much corruption. The policy dissidents should have set up their own group, but they preferred to take over the existing organization, its buildings and infrastructure and mailing list, and convert the philosophy to one that supports homosexual behavior.

The result will be dissident groups sprouting up everywhere.

But now, when they apply for state recognition, after the IRS and Justice Department persecution of political and religious dissidents, and the HHS rules that violate religious freedom for groups and individuals, and persecution of whistleblowers, who can trust the governments of either of the bipartisan cartel in power to treat anybody fairly?

Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Luke 15:32
It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Who are the haters?

Who are the haters?

I have been convinced through Ron Paul that the government should get out of the marriage business altogether. In the beginning, Adam and Eve didn’t need a formal ceremony, they didn’t have a government. Marriage was a man leaving his father and his mother and “cleaving” to his wife:

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (Genesis 2:4)

Somewhere in the Anno Domini (years of our Lord), the church took up the practice of blessing marital unions, even though many of the poor continued the time-honored practice of common-law marriage. But the formalization of marriage was a church sacrament, with allowances for the poor that could not afford the payments. The offspring of common-law couples was still “legitimate”.

But then state recognition began to get in the way, and with state recognition of anything there comes state control along with it. Maybe it was a trend that started or accelerated with King Henry the 8th. He represented “the state”, or “the secular authority”, and he broke England and England’s church free from the Roman Church to start his own. All because he wanted different marriage rules so he wouldn’t have to kill his wives when he got tired of them.

So now people are confused and they regard marriage as a government question. Take the government out of it. Get the government out of our bedrooms. But no, the same people who used to demand the government get out of our bedrooms are now the ones who are demanding the government come right in and bless the way we’re doing it and who were doing it with!! What is wrong with this picture, people?

One “same sex advocate” says there are as many as 10,000 so-called “benefits” that come with marriage, and that’s why they’re demanding recognition of these unions (as marriages). All the more reason to eliminate the state from the picture.

How Same-sex “Marriage” Advocates use Violence
Against Traditional Marriage Supporters

In this newly released video, volunteers with the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) describe how they were violently assaulted by pro-homosexual “marriage” advocates while promoting traditional marriage on college campuses and in the public square.

“That empty slogan about tolerance comes crashing down after you see how TFP volunteers were criminally assaulted by same-sex ‘marriage’ advocates,” said TFP Student Action Director John Ritchie.

“The video speaks for itself. They don’t tolerate God’s marriage. In fact, our volunteers have been bullied, pepper sprayed, hit with glass bottles, sprayed with pesticide, punched, and spit on for peacefully stating that marriage is what it is — the union between one man and one woman.”
