Statist Propaganda Media is fading, and some of the voices of lament from Old Media are that investigative journalism is going with it.
Not really. True that Old Media has left off doing much of it where it matters because they don’t want to step on their sister institutions in the government-media complex, or their dearly held statist doctrines learned in Journalism schools across the country. True, there are a few of the ones that fit Statist Media doctrines, but they don’t get much readership. People are getting wise to it.
I have a couple of examples.
Ben Swann Full Disclosure
One of the best is Ben Swann‘s presentations from Cincinnati, where he narrated the program “Reality Check”. He now has his own Internet channel. His flagship web site is Ben Swann Full Disclosure: http://benswann.com/ It’s not exactly just investigative journalism, but I mention it because he spreads the word on less-known but very important facts left out of news sources elsewhere, plus shares some significant insights into current events also not found elsewhere. In this way if fulfills what we expect from journalistic research, the digging up of facts that a few interests might want to otherwise keep a lid on.
FrackNation
http://fracknation.com/
In FrackNation journalist Phelim McAleer faces threats, cops and bogus lawsuits questioning green extremists for the truth about fracking. McAleer uncovers fracking facts suppressed by environmental activists, and he talks with rural Americans whose livelihoods are at risk if fracking is banned. Emotions run high but the truth runs deep.
FrackNation was made after Phelim McAleer confronted Gasland filmmaker
Josh Fox at a Q&A in Chicago. McAleer asked Fox about instances of water being lit on fire well before fracking occurred in America and why he didn’t include that information in Gasland. Fox said the information “wasn’t relevant.” McAleer disagreed and put their exchange on YouTube. Fox sued to have it removed. That’s when McAleer realized there was more to the story of fracking than Josh Fox was letting on.
FrackNation was funded by 3,305 backers on Kickstarter who generously donated $212,265 to have us investigate the truth about fracking. All funds from oil and gas companies or their executives were explicitly rejected. FrackNation is a film by the people, for the people.
This film FrackNation, supported by nickel-and-dime donations from “the little guy”, exposed the statist control-freak propaganda film “Gasland“, which did not need to go to Kickstarter for financing. Big giant corporate-financed non-profits with multi-billionaire hustlers like George Soros have plenty of funding for all kinds of central-planning propaganda.
(By the way, even environmentalism-loving science are saying Gasland is “science denial” and criticizing its content and the big-money connections of its maker Josh Fox is shown here:

Project Veritas
Another group that has done investigative reporting documentaries is Project Veritas, for which James O’Keefe has made works about Planned Parenthood and Acorn.
http://www.theprojectveritas.org/
He exposed the hypocrisy of the New York-area newspaper that published the names and addresses of gun owners in one of the counties that offered up the list without thinking.

No Intelligence Allowed
Another example is Ben Stein’s documentary, “No Intelligence Allowed”:
