Christians, libertarians, gay marriage, who wants big government?

February 1, 2015

I am a very vocal Bible-believing Christian, and I got to tell you, that Christian libertarians are now in very great numbers, and the numbers are growing by leaps and bounds, as they realize that it is this approach to society that is the only view that anyone can say with certainty that God actually endorsed.

We have no king but JESUS!

Like God told Samuel, when the people demanded a government, a king, “They have rejected ME!” Because they didn’t want GOD to rule over them.

And Samuel warned them with the same warnings conservatives used to repeat in this country: The king will take your sons off to war, he will take your daughters off to his palaces to cook their delights, he will build his palaces with the burdensome taxes that will be to your grief. Needless to say, God’s warnings against government were validated with only the third king in Israel, because Solomon did all these things when he strayed from God’s wisdom. The result was a divided kingdom after his passing.

Even then, they said they wanted it because Samuel’s children were corrupt, after he appointed them judges, meaning they also wanted a king to protect them from abuse by their neighbors. BUT that means they themselves were already so corrupt they could not see that there was no obligation to follow those corrupt appointees. The laws of Moses are very clear, and there is NOT ONE reference or mention to ANY kind of government there. That’s how the custom of judges arose, they were spontaneous callings of God to the farmers like Gideon who raised armies to expel invaders who did impose kingships on them. Then they beat their swords back into plows and farmed again. And sometimes the people went to those judges to mediate disputes and for guidance later on….

In fact, the laws of Moses not only makes no provision for government of any kind, except the individual’s governing of himself and what is his, the Ten Commandments condemn it explicitly.

If somebody takes your property without your explicit permission, that’s THEFT. That’s why taxation is pure THEFT. THOU SHALT NOT STEAL.

Romans 13 was very specific and the reasons given for respecting secular authority was contextual and conditional. The Romans actually kept the high priests in check, and God anointed them to both protect the Messiah from the persecutors and to expand the early reach and the future of the Gospel.

The “libertarians” that promote government intervention in things like marriage are just as clueless as Christians who look to government instead of God for a marriage certificate!

Remember the presidential debates, when they asked the question about “gay marriage”, the born-again Baptist who said EVERYTHING he did was from his Christian faith, Ron Paul, said the government should get out of it and leave it to churches like it was before. And the not-so-Christian Gary Johnson actually said the same thing!

Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s. Ask yourself: what in the entire world did Caesar have that did not come from conquering by THEFT and spoils of the wars of lust that James spoke of?

Matthew 17 tells you what Jesus thought of tribute to Caesar.

He said we pay taxes so as not to offend them, in other words, so they’ll leave us alone.

The war to enslave the free

November 2, 2014

The purpose of the War between the States was to kill the idea of secession. Slavery was secondary. Lincoln once supported an amendment to enshrine slavery if it would “save the Union”. It was not the war to free the slaves but to enslave the free.

Lincoln ordered at least one escaped slave returned to his master in UNION state Missouri. The Emancipation Proclamation ONLY applied to the SOUTHERN states, NOT Missouri or Maryland, Delaware or Kentucky. To this day Mississippi folks consider Kentucky as “North”.

The thirteen colonies of the Continental Congress committed the sin of secession from England,

England committed the sin of seceding from Rome.

Kosovo committed the sin of seceding from Serbia, supported by Clinton’s bombs.

Southern Sudan committed the sin of secession from Sudan.

A dozen members of the USSR seceded from the USSR.

Ukraine seceded from USSR and Crimea seceded from Ukraine.

Pakistan and India seceded from each other.

Israel seceded from the British Palestinian Mandate, and the Palestinians seceded from Israel.

Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica seceded from Spain, led by Francisco Morazan. Indian Chief Lempira is a national anti-imperialist hero in Honduras.

Haiti seceded from France, then invaded the rest of Hispaniola, then the Dominican Republic seceded from Haiti.

Bernardo O’Higgins liberated (won secession for) Chile from Spain.

Angola seceded from Portugal.

Zimbabwe seceded from the British Empire.

Botswana seceded from South Africa.

Curacao seceded from Netherlands.

Surinam seceded from Netherlands.

The Lutherans seceded from Rome.

The Salvation Army seceded from the Methodists.

The Pilgrims seceded from Europe.

Texas seceded from Mexico.

All of Europe seceded from the Roman Empire.

St. Louis seceded from St. Louis County.

El Doral, Miami Lakes, and El Portal seceded from Miami-Dade County unincorporated government.

Cuba and the Philippines seceded from Spain.

Panama seceded from Columbia.

Taiwan seceded from Communist China.

Most of us would be happy if California seceded from the USA.

Reaction to “Conservative to Anarchist”; Me, Communist to Missionary to Anarchist

August 24, 2014

My reaction to Steve Patterson’s post, From Conservative to Anarchist:

http://steve-patterson.com/conservative-anarchist/

Back when I joined a “new religious movement” during the Jesus People thing in the 1960s, we got educated by the founders in the future consequences of bubble fiat dollars (“green paper pigs”–think inflated piggy bank balloon) and the stupidity of getting off a gold standard, and the way the rest of the world will also get punked for counting on the dollar. We were “dropped out” of “the system” and “turned on” to the truth.

Before that, in college, all that indoctrination turned me into a Communist because ever since LBJ invaded the Dominican Republic I remembered thinking about helping the poor and being “fair” and all that. But that led to being a sort of “syndicalist anarchist”, which sounds leftish but it also sounded right. My rationale then was: If you can’t trust people to govern themselves, you can’t trust them to govern anybody else. I didn’t have a clue what label that would have other than anarchist.

Then I discovered the way certain now well-known cliques and “secret societies” manipulate things, became minarchist finally, and through a Bible-discussion forum discovered Ron Paul when a fellow believer mentioned hanging Ron Paul banners over bridges. The rest is the same history as Steve’s.

This verse means so much more to me now:

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;–Isaiah 61:1

Biden to Central America: Control Your Borders!

July 12, 2014
The US is acting like the arrogant bully that (somebody) promised would stop. Only now it’s “under the radar”, by which I mean that (somehow) all these things that add up to (something).
I am 110 percent in favor of all the “richer” countries cutting off 100 percent of ALL government-to-government aid to other countries, and that includes government-to-NGO’s. Almost all the international NGOs are the ones that are favored by the political powers; some are not; maybe they’re “tokens”.
“Foreign aid”, like Ron Paul said, “robs the poor in rich countries to give to the rich in the poor countries”. And it makes the politicians in recipient countries beholden to the political powers in “donor” countries instead of to their own citizens. So said the well-known economist from Zambia, Dambisa Moyo.
I told my Honduran wife “Great!” when they told me Orlando was in Brazil instead of meeting with the US VP. The Yanks summoned Central America to control their borders! Let that sink in for a minute! Biden, the Yanks VP, told the Presidents of Guatemala, El Salvador and the Honduras representatives to control their borders!?
There’s *always* something more to stories like this. Official spokespersons are saying it’s coyotes spreading this word in Central America, but they’ve known for *many* years that children get across the border easily.  So what is it the “journalists” are not saying?
Another thing the old traditional news sources are not reporting is that something like 90 percent of these “children” and “minors” are 15 to 17 years of age. The reports on Corporate Media say that that they are fleeing violence in Central America. For some of them, especially those rushing to join parents up north, that may be true. But remember what Castro did with his prison population during the Mariel boat-lift?
No little hatchlings these. And like my wife told me Orlando said, if parents are sending the younger children with coyotes who not only routinely rape and abuse them, they do it as a routine.
The best thing the United States can do first for Honduras is (1) immediately stop “helping” them, especially the government (leave it to people who care about the poor) and (2) immediately cease the drug wars, both here and there.  (3) And after that, stop trying to tell everybody what they have to do. And most important of all (4) Buy! Their! Products!
For (1),  you can’t say you’re helping the poor by demanding governments do it. Governments have to steal the money from lots of people (you and me, but never he!) that otherwise would use it to actually help the poor. Especially the kids. Recent numbers showed that child abuse is *eight times higher* for children in government custody than for kids who live with their parents. Even the usual mouths on Disappearing Dinosaur Networks are trying to tell the anti-immigration protestors that “we” (in the U.S.) have to help these kids because they’re living as many as 100 with one toilet, some are getting raped, etc., etc.
She did NOT mean herself in the “we” because she was talking about the government, not herself. Glenn Beck is taking supplies to the kids. One of the problems is that the USG (US GOvernment) is not allowing anybody to talk to any of the kids, even US Congressmen, and prohibits all recording devices including all cell phones, smart phones or not for the VIPs that are allowed to visit.
I’m glad that “God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man seweth that shall he also reap.” And that it is never too late to do the right thing from this point on

The Pope condemns inequality again, still does not offer to equalize himself

May 10, 2014

You can’t cure an infection by injecting flesh-eating bacteria, and you can’t solve inequality by legislating righteousness.

Jesus cared for the poor by feeding them, healing them, teaching them righteousness and diligence, by inspiring works of charity around the world, by the story of the Good Samaritan that resonates throughout the millenia and the world.

He didn’t care for the poor by getting the Romans to establish giveaways for the poor.

The Good Samaritan used HIS OWN money to help the victim in the road. He did NOT go and rob somebody else to use THEIR money to help the victim in the road.

Thou shalt not steal. (Oh, but they’re only rich if they stole it? Inequality is theft?) Good thinking, not. Government takes want it wants by force, by definition. And demagoguery by this first Jesuit Pope in history, same as the rest, is only exposed by the hypocrisy of it all:

https://trutherator.wordpress.com/2014/05/03/pope-condemns-inequality-praises-his-own-heirarchy/

Note that this Pope never ever condemns the thefts that his predecessors have committed over these hundreds of years. So many major riches gotten by the Inquisitors, condemning victims who committed the heinous crime of actually reading the Bible, and grabbing their riches, just like today’s confiscation laws used by law enforcers across the USA.

The silence of this Pope, this one more than any of them, for example, on using some of the untold BILLIONS in assets of the VATICAN to help the poor.

The only “violence” Jesus did was precisely when he saw the MONEY CHANGERS in the temple ROBBING the POOR by way of FRAUD.

IS THE POPE DEMANDING THAT THE MONEY CHANGERS OF THE CENTRAL BANKS OF THE WORLD STOP THEIR GRAND THEFT NATION LOOTING???!!!

This Pope’s administration did a dressing-down on that German bishop that was flaunting the rich man’s life. I wonder what he thinks as he walks through the halls of the Vatican, ponders all the Michelangelo art in their cathedrals in Rome, or considers the vast array of million-dollar art in their possession around the world, or when he looks at the Vatican income statement and the line items with their billions of investments around the world.

The Roman Catholic Church is one of the richest capitalist institutions in the entire world. It at least benefits from it, just like every other socialist institution in history.

No, he’s demanding more of it. Because when the rulers of this world (this Pope is one of them now) help the poor, they themselves do it with the loot of their theft. And the result has proven, over and over, that this does not work to help the poor, it just impoverishes everyone but the rulers.

Taxation is theft. That was the meaning of the plaque on Ron Paul’s desk, “Don’t steal, the government hates competition”.

God is NOT dead, but dead churches are. But Jesus is risen!

April 27, 2014

Reason’s Nick Gillespie has penned an article that points to his “latest column up at Time“. That’s the magazine that was going bankrupt without any offers from the hoped-for buyers until another leftist millionaire saved it for *one*, that’s right, one, dollar.

The first paragraph he quotes at www.reason.com:

These days, God is dead everywhere except at movie theaters. But rest easy, America, that doesn’t mean we’re spiraling into an amoral abyss or a lawless society. Indeed, by most indicators of anti-social behavior, things have never been better.

Hey, Nick, did you really think about that? The biggest organization in the United States that has the most guns and big firepower in the country just went through an episode in which they threatened to shoot down the peaceful demonstrators. After Waco, do you doubt they would have done it, if not for the cameras watching them? And just maybe, some people who had come to support the victim and who were ready to shoot back?

The entire flying public in the land is groped, molested and radiated by the biggest armed gang in the country, the federal government, 2 million!, that’s millions, every single day, in an act that violates the supreme law of the land, and this is not a lawless society on the abyss? Or do you think this aggression is peaceful and lawful simply because the public accepts it?

Reason’s web site itself reports on the growing problem of abuse rained upon the subjects of our new national fiefdom by the enforcers of the law.

The national culture has also grown in the easier acceptance of the taking of human life, too. Four states already have legislation permitting physician-assisted suicide. There are babies newly born alive across the land that have a sign above their crib in hospitals that read “N.B.O.”: “Nothing by mouth”. They would never call it “IBS”, would they? (“Infanticide By Starvation”).

Is not partial birth abortion a brutal procedure more reminiscent of a society that accepts aggression against its most helpless neighbors? Call it legalized lawlessness, what it is.

And it’s incredible that with a wave of a hand you think you can dismiss what you said in your second quoted paragraph?

Even as polls and church-attendance records show the U.S. is becoming a more secular, less pious country, current films such as Heaven is for Real (based on a best-selling account of a four-year-old boy’s supposed trip to the afterlife) and Noah (based on the Old Testament’s account of the Great Flood) have done boffo business.

Noah is closing in on $100 million, the line that separates mere hits from blockbusters, and Heaven is for Real easily bested Johnny Depp’s poorly reviewed meditation on computer-enabled immortality, Transcendence. God’s Not Dead, a drama about a college freshman challenging his professor’s atheism, is also performing strongly, and so is Son of God, the latest cinematic version of the life of Jesus.

Expect to see more Christian and religiously themed movies as a result…. Yet there’s no reason to think that such movies will do anything to stanch the broad and ongoing decline in religiosity. And there’s even less reason to worry about the trend toward a less godly country….

Your question at the end for comment, in my opinion, may even show a suspicion in your own mind that you are missing something.

It’s certain that people are “less religious” than before, and they are, according to the generalized statistics. But here again we have a very disparate collection of groups in such surveys, all incorporated into totals that treat them all as one blob.

What you missed is the movement OUT of the churches and out of the traditionally recognized churches that go into the official counts and are used for the surveys, but the ones who have the strongest faith are not quitting Christ or Christianity.

Instead, Christians are finding fellowship and Bible study in the form of volunteer service in soup kitchens, old homes, schools and elsewhere, and of course in home fellowships.

You also missed something else. Part of why Christianity is in decline is the way itwas enticed into joining government registration systems, a result associated with Senator LyndonBaynes Johnson’s insertion of “religious organizations” into the IRS tax legislation. The influence of Bush’s “faith-based initiative” is an example of Montesquieu  insight that the best way to diminish Christian faith by giving them benefits.

So of course government-sponsored and government-blessed religiosity is in decline. The false shepherds and the ones who seek easy benefit will abandon the institutions when it gets difficult.

In general, it may still decline. But let me take a stab at a guess. I’ll bet that with Ron Paul’s campaign you were surprised, even startled, at the great numbers of people you discovered that rushed to support him and came out of the censorship-enforced woodwork to blast out messages proclaiming how Christianity’s strongest doctrine of the love of God and the love of others directly means obeisance to the non-aggression principle.

Christians are already hated in many places. But do not think that atheism offers a transcendent basic morality to support the non-aggression principle. Christianity’s Golden Rule does. I hope you know what it says. I’ve been told there are many who don’t know that the “Golden Rule” is, except for the stupid joke you hear sometimes.

Ron Paul’s endorsement of Ken Cuccinelli for Virginia governor

October 13, 2013
Ken Cuccinelli (R)

Ken Cuccinelli (R) (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

In a moment of “wow”, Ron Paul has endorsed Republican Party candidate Ken Cuccinelli for Virginia governor, according to Politico.

to the surprise of some people, because there is a candidate from the Libertarian Party (Robert Starvis) who has been creeping up in the polls.

Politico plays up the surprise element in the article, but does allow through the reasons Ron Paul made this announcement:

“Ken Cuccinelli has always stood for smaller government and limited government,” writes Paul. “He has consistently and unapologetically worked with the Liberty movement in Virginia. His stand against ObamaCare shows he is willing to stand up to Washington’s continued abuses on our individual liberties.”

He quotes his friend Donna Holt, a libertarian activist, calling Cuccinelli “the most pro-liberty legislator and Attorney General we have ever had in Virginia.”

In another paragraph find the reason Politico and some third-party boosters may have thought Sarvis would be the better liberty-supporting candidate, and some self-identified libertarians might get confused as to why. Note the transparent spin in the choice by Politico’s writers in deciding to use the expression “should be” and “concerned”:

Libertarian Robert Sarvis could be a spoiler in next month’s off-year election, attracting what should be Republican voters concerned about the nominee’s strong opposition to gay marriage and abortion.

For one thing, that statement shows the Politico, like almost all of statist media, is clueless about who libertarians are in general, and how libertarians think on many specifics.

The two issues they mention are telling.

ABORTION VS HUMAN LIFE

On the first one, apparently a growing percentage of libertarians are strongly opposed to killing a baby in the womb as much as outside the womb, on libertarian grounds. The reasoning is the same for every pro-lifer and pro-life organization mission statement that I know of, and that is that a new human life begins at conception. There are atheists that despise this brutal practice as well. The pro-abortion organizations and the groups that make lots of money in the abortion industry (including the profitable government-supported “non-profits”), they use the false claim that it is a religious idea.

But the truth is that opposition to killing babies inside the womb is the same thing as killing babies outside the womb. This is the motivator. And libertarians claim the idea that all aggression against individuals is wrong, that all uses of force is illegitimate except for defense against aggression. Apply this to babies inside a mother’s womb and you can only be pro-life.

GAY MARRIAGE” AND RENT-SEEKING

Here is another one that confuses some of the younger libertarians, who think supporting a candidate who favors “gay marriage” is the same as supporting freedom.

But it’s not like they are supporting freedom. For one thing, the libertarian view is that nobody and no government has any right to force you to associate with any other person or group, and that liberty is defined in terms of individual rights to be free from aggression and force by others.

That means discrimination for any reason is a universal right. It is an illegitimate use of force to apply it in favor of one group (as the current U.S. federal government does for homosexuals) while denying it to another (like they have done against Christians often, for example). Government discrimination is always and forever wrong; individual discrimination is a right. Banning individual discrimination is impossible anyway, without telepathy, but they do it anyway.

That said, seeking government marriage privileges, or forcing you to do it, is wrong. I had to marry legally to arrange my wife’s visa. Before anybody says hypocrite, say first whether you use federal reserve notes to pay for things in the store, or whether some of your tax-and-inflation-taxes go to things you despise.

Seeking to get the government to approve same-sex marriage, though, is not not not a stance consistent with libertarian philosophy. It is creating additional government benefits for a boiler-plate contract and the subjection to obligations on the part of the “engaged” couple, answerable to government control.

In other words, the proper stance would be to seek ways to get government out of controlling marriage and its supposed definition, even though “same-sex marriage” has always been an oxymoron in the English language.

There are other extra-governmental reasons not to “oppose gay marriage”, but to bring open discussion to the merits of same-sex pairings, free of coercion. That is a different topic. Government has no business deciding who should have what, do what, or do without what….

Does “Fiscal” conservatism need “social” conservatism? What is the >real< diffference?

Ron Paul at the 2007 National Right to Life Co...

I have a comment on this article, “Fiscal Conservatism Needs ‘Social’ Conservatism”. I’m sending this commentary to his email as well as posting it on my blog:
http://jewishworldreview.com/0113/prager012213.php3#.UlFduCTMos4

Dennis Prager deserves attention from those who disagree with him, because he makes his arguments, as he says it, from the head and not from the heart.

FIRST CLARIFICATION

I am one of many Christian libertarians, but strongly Christian. There are more of these than you think, who very much believe in practicing our Christianity in private and in public, and for us there is no separation of economic and social values. Economic values are only a part of the social values, and every so-called “conservative” who makes that difference, especially for the sake of pragmatism, is a victim (or perpetrator) of the mistake of lifting up the love for things over the love of his fellow-man.

I do marvel at the fact that applying the principle of freedom to economic issues, though, is the absolutely best thing that can happen to the poor in any society, as a general principle. Stealing is a moral issue, in fact, and taxation is a form of theft, because it is the forcible expropriation of goods or services without even the formality of requesting it.

There is an overlap there. But Dennis, note that Israel in the time of the book of Judges, before the kings, they had no formal taxation. There was no taxation to support an army, or police force. Armies were raised from volunteers as an answer to prayer for deliverance from enemies.

In fact according to the jew it was actually a moment of moral weakness that drove the Israelites to demand a government. In their case, it was a king. God warned them through Samuel against what they were asking for: the king would require their sons to send them off to war, and he would require burdensome taxes, and their sons and daughters in future generations would be sorry.

I don’t think rabbis or pastors pay too much attention to this, and its implications.

SOCIAL CONSERVATISM AND LIBERTARIANISM

I absolutely agree that all principles are a package, and that the divide is a false one. I believe it is mostly engendered with the use of propaganda in the Establishment Media, and politicians who put position and power over principle.

I also would agree that it is wrong to deprecate the value of American history from even before 1776 as being an incubator of respect for the time-proven moral principles that have a substantial near-equivalence with what is known today as “conservatism”.

Where we differ is a result of the misunderstanding about libertarian morals, that unfortunately, I believe many libertarians also do not understand about the real world.

I’m not talking here about the small minority of libertarians that just want what they see as “benefits”. Many of the members of the namesake Libertarian Party are like that, but not all of them either.

RON PAUL VS. GARY JOHNSON

The difference between Ron Paul and Gary Johnson are significant in this respect. Gary Johnson points to the benefits of marijuana, whereas Ron Paul points to the moral difference between you deciding what is good for you, and some self-appointed smarter-than-thou committees so deciding. Ron Paul is the one who also points out that at least for Prohibition they realized they could not ban alcohol on a federal level without a constitutional amendment.

In the same way that it is immoral to arrest an Amish farmer for providing raw milk to his neighbors, in principle, the same principle has to be applied, as you say, to the extreme cases.

Another couple of examples would be what we call the “natural right” of atheists to speak as they will, and the right of the “gay gang” to say what they will. And we support this in spite of the enormous damage that the advocacy of both of them wreak upon the general society.

In other words, the moral imperative of allowing the free exchange of goods and services as the parties that engage in such activity may voluntarily do so, this is a moral principle that also applies to other moral and ethical contexts.

Take so-called “same-sex marriage”, for example. The only reason the propagandists have been able to make this an issue they can impose upon the rest of us is that the Christian and Jewish and other religious persuasions have allowed the state to usurp this cultural and social institution.

Before the Mormons appeared, historically, for example, monogamy was a universally accepted norm in the states where they originated and grew. But monogamy laws were passed specifically because many Mormons practiced polygamy. So they migrated to other states and the process repeated until they finally got to the Utah area, where the federal government passed their law and threatened to blow up their city. (A Mormon once told me their people were scattered across the countryside at that time).

Before that, marriage was more common-law, I would think, with some formal recognition in the respective religious institutions of each different religious faith.

But the de facto situation today is, that the state controls it. The USA has completed its evolution into a nation that thinks it has to tolerate a ruling regime that is actively hostile to all religious faith except the faith of materialism, with special hostility toward Christianity. Statist-power politicians regard Jews as little problem for secularization of the populace in the interest of a docile subject populace, because most Jews have adopted secularist-state views in the States.

(As a parenthesis, in my opinion, there are two reasons for this. One, many Jews have this big bugaboo about a Christian majority population, fed in the background by thousands of Hollywood productions that keep bringing back images of the Holocaust. One judge I heard about on a talk show once actually allowed certain prayers in some official activity, but banned the use of the name of “Jesus”.)

There are a great number of libertarians who are also Jews, of every “kind” of Jew there is, of course, and that includes even some Jewish settlers in “Samaria”.

At the core of libertarian thinking is the non-aggression principle. That principle is based in the very moral principle of non-aggression. This principle is a sort of dumbed-down version of the second greatest commandment: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself”.

That commandment from the laws of Moses is akin to the Christian’s “Golden Rule”, which in a way restated it in terms of its application, its practice. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, is also a paraphrase of what Jesus said, but is an abbreviation of the same thing.

That of course includes avoiding aggression against your neighbor, meaning avoiding the use of force or threat of force or aggression by fraud to get something from that neighbor or to force him to do something.

There was no command to force the world to come to the morality embodied in the Ten Commandments, no divine order to go forth and convert the entire pagan world by force, and there is no way to interpret it as such, much as some less ethical atheists try to do. It’s easier to do that with the Koran, maybe, but even in the most brutal version possible you can extract from the laws of Moses it doesn’t work. At least not without some hilarity (if it were not so serious a subject).

So there is credible content to a moral and even religious objection to the imposition of moral law upon others by any individual or any group. The laws of Moses are full of admonitions to respect the stranger among you, the travelers that journey through the land round about, and so on.

And even Dennis Prager would have to admit that even though the USA may be a good nation and exemplary in morals, that it has no “right” or obligation to conquer North and South America to impose those ideals, even if it could somehow be made to work in some weird way.

GAY MARRIAGE

It is true also that many libertarians in the USA and elsewhere believe that state-sanctioned same-sex marriage is a matter of equal treatment or somehow an issue of more freedom somehow, whereas it is no such thing at all. One propagandist says there are 10,000 specific benefits from marriage that same-sex couples do not get because of the bans on same-sex marriage.

In my opinion, this is the only reason that any visible number of homosexuals support the idea. A tiny minority gets marriage licenses where it’s legalized, the rest don’t care for it but might vaguely support the activist stand on it. Another tiny minority of currently practicing homosexuals have called talk shows to express strong objections to the idea, I’ve heard them, one of them citing the same reasons Dennis Prager does.

WRAPPING UP

Mr. Prager asks some questions that

Do you really want to live in an America that is godless, where liberty derives from the state and where moral values derive from each individual’s heart? In an America that ignores genocides abroad? In an America that so radically redefines marriage — the union of anyone who loves anyone — that it no longer has a moral justification to prohibit polygamy or incest? In an America that has no moral opinion on abortion, even if performed solely, let us say, for reasons of the fetus’s gender? In an America that embraces multiculturalism rather than the melting pot ideal?

So libertarians do NOT want liberty to derive from the state. Moral values can never derive from an enforced monopoly on the use of force. But you have no right to decide moral values for anyone else, by the force of violence or the threat of violence (that’s exactly what laws are), whether you’re an imam, rabbi, or minister, or guru, or priest, except for the ban on aggression.

To say the contrary is to say whoever has the guns decides the morality. That has not worked out well for Jews, nor Christians, nor Muslims, or anybody else really. That’s why atheist-driven and secularist-driven bans on the free expression of religion by majorities is so hypocritical, and the censorship on the Creation science point of view in government schools. Or the censorship of any point of view in them.

MANNING

So now the Army, or someone involved with the case, publicizes Manning’s “gender-confused” past. It reminded me of the scenes in Orwell’s 1984 when dissidents and the independent-thinking were trotted onto the tube all repentant of their sins against the state, and how they now loved Dear Leader.

JUDGE WANTS TO SUPPRESS FREE EXPRESSION TO PUNISH FREE EXPRESSION

Now a judge has said gays can file suit for a pastor’s speech overseas:
http://www.wnd.com/2013/08/judge-foreigners-can-sue-u-s-pastor-over-sermons/

PIPA, SOPA, CISPA, and they’re trying everything they can to create thought-crime laws and censorship. Funny, the judge is saying that maybe this pastor did try to “suppress free expression” by certain groups. So he’ll entertain a suit that demands he suppress the free expression of the defendant. Nobody said statists relied very much on logic.

FINALLY, THE GOVERNMENT CONFIRMS DECADES-OLD “TINFOIL HAT” CONSPIRACY THEORY

Yes, Area 51 actually exists! Now that everybody knows it anyway, the truth can finally be told.
http://www.wnd.com/2013/08/govt-confirms-area-51-exists/

Is anybody apologizing to the tinfoil hat crowd yet? Of course the CIA is saying it was for the training of pilots for the secret U-2 spy plane. Nothing else, I guess. Flights of secret aircraft in the sky, they are unidentified flying objects because the military brass refuses to identify them!

WILL THE STATIST MEDIA NOW ADMIT THEY EXIST?

SIGNS OFFERING AN EXIT FROM ISLAM ARE BANNED BY SHARIA, TOO, NOT JUST DETROIT

The Detroit transportation authority banned an ad that is not favorable to Islam, but the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) is suing for freedom of speech:

BUCHANAN: EGYPT’S ARMY CROSSES THE RUBICON

Pat Buchanan: Perhaps lowering our profile and shutting up would be best approach”:
http://www.wnd.com/2013/08/egypts-army-crosses-the-rubicon/

Me, I’m beginning to realize that not all cultures are ready to accept living peacefully with their neighbors, or even thinking independently. It’s hard enough for Americans in the past to do this with their tradition of small-r “republic” and free speech and the Bill of Rights. I intentionally did not say “democracy”.

THE NATIONAL BLACK REPUBLICAN ASSOCIATION ARE CALLING FOR OBAMA’S IMPEACHMENT

OBAMA: WHAT ELSE WOULD AMERICANS SAY, MR. PRESIDENT?

Mr. “kill list” Obama says:

“I am comfortable that the program currently is not being abused. I’m comfortable that if the American people examined exactly what was taking place, how it was being used, what the safeguards were, that they would say, you know what, these folks are following the law and doing what they say they’re doing.”

Yeah, what else would they say, Mr. President? Your NSA now has the dirt on everybody. Now, they get to say, after the heavy chasing after reporters, confiscation of all the communications of all the citizens, brazenly searching through the emails of a hundred AP reporters, kill lists, drones… Who is going to dare you to come after them by blowing the whistle on you now? Another hero like Edward Snowden? We can only hope. Happens in the movies all the time, after all.

This makes Hillary’s Filegate scandal look like respect for the Constitution. Right. (Filegate refers to Hillary getting the FBI files on every member of Congress, yes, every one of them). But now, the feds (who’s running the show up there anyhow?) has the goods on ALL of us.

Hey, maybe there’ll be blowback like there was against Robespierre. The people in Congress may just wake up one day when they realize that going along with the program and taking them money is not going to save their behinds or their family’s either, and do something to force them to admit out loud that their real goal is to just make all their subjects bow down and obey.

Obama also said if Snowden thinks he is right he should come back and face justice and prove his case. Right. Yeah, right. Well now. We live in a country where any judge in the country could get a self-written warrant produced by a federal agent on the spot, one of those Patriot Act orders that makes it a felony for said judge to tell anybody about it.

Like the alien said to the Steve Guttenberg character in the movie Cocoon, “You don’t know who to trust.”

NANNY STATE ON STEROIDS, FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COMING SOON TO YOUR HOME:

At Ben Swann’s new web site, another onerous and outrageous police state provision:
http://benswann.com/obamacare-provision-forced-home-inspections/

Yeah. Empowered to visit home-schooling families to prevent “hate teaching harmful to the kids”, maybe, they’ve said that before, or farms to make sure Cattle Rancher Jones isn’t “harming” his neighbors by selling them raw milk, you get the picture. These are things people have lost their kids over, and for the milk thing gone to prison over. Already. In America.

3-D IS ACCELERATING THE DESIGN PROCESS FOR NEW AUTO MODELS:
See the story here:

http://individual.troweprice.com/public/Retail/Planning-&-Research/Connections/3D-Printing/Is-3D-Printing-Road-Ready?PlacementGUID=EA219823-0606-4B28-A1C9-7DC89A3AC248

The article says they still aren’t good enough to “print” a whole vehicle, or all the pars to it:

This capability has sparked talk of “printed” cars, and while printing your ride might be an interesting demonstration of the technology’s maturity, it wouldn’t result in a car many people would want to drive. According to Lee Dockstader, vice president of business development for 3D Systems, the ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plastic body parts that can be printed would likely be non-structural items like fenders, hoods, trunk lids, and door skins, as opposed to frame rails, floor pans, and other components that need to be crash-absorbent. Furthermore, printed cars would be stylistically limited, because printed ABS plastic doesn’t allow for distinctive feature details like creases and lines.

But in another article I recently saw, metals have already been used with one 3D machine:

The Next Level of 3D printing. ” Researchers at North Carolina State University took the technology one step further with the discovery of a method for printing liquid metal (watch above)”:

http://mashable.com/2013/07/11/3d-print-liquid-metal/

And now, “The First Commercial 3D Printed Metal Gun Part”.:

Maybe it’s a sequel to “Blows Against the Empire”…

REPUBLICAN PARTY BOSSES HAVE VOTED AGAINST LETTING CNN OR NBC HOST 2016 DEBATES

The story:
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/aug/16/rnc-vote-boycott-cnn-nbc-clinton

Well, bully for them. Looks like CNN and NBC saw what was happening in the real world and that their obvious tilt toward “the left” was not helping anymore.

And Hillary “screwed the pooch” as the expression goes, with her role in Benghazi-gate, heading up the team that left Americans exposed there and then joined the push to lie to the public about a video. She had to know that the narrative was false. Looks like it was some low-level CIA analyst that contributed the false “video” blame, but the CIA quashed it lightning fast, but then the order came from –who??!– to put it back in. What is pretty clear is that the order came back to the CIA to blame the video anyway.

But there’s more than Bengazi waiting for a Hillary campaign. There’s Filegate (illegal suborning of FBI files ON Congressmen and other perceived adversaries), Whitewater, Travelgate, Chinagate, Vince Foster, the insider trading accusation on her commodities market killing, the push to shut up Juanita Broaderick, the mysterious missing Rose Law firm documents she could not find to answer a subpoena, “Hillary-care” (which was even more a blatant in-your-face nationalization of medical practice),

So maybe the cover story didn’t originate there anyway. Sometimes it helps to play a modified version of “Follow the Money”.

NBC says there’s no problem because NBC News is independent from NBC Entertainment. Oh yeah, right! And they both report to whom? They’re always saying there’s no bias, but who does the NBC News staff vote for?

http://www.journalism.org/node/2304

To read a bit more detail about a few of those scandals, click here. Yeah, email-gate too, which should have also fallen under “obstruction of justice”.

I agree with Larry Klayman, her outburst at getting exposed for her own negligence and complicity with the attacks in Benghazi, when testifying before Congress, finally gave the public a slight glimpse of her character and demeanor that Washington insiders see and tell about.

She was madder than hell that anybody would want to know how and why Benghazi happened.

ROBERT DRAPER DOES GOOD COVER-UP ON LIBYA AS GUEST ON C-SPAN:

He interviewed with Libby Casey on C-Span, and I listened for most of it, and it begs for an answer and some corrections:
http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/HistoryofL
His answer to two callers who called him on his anti-Gaddafi tilt in his assessment of the rebellion and the rebels was that, as he says it, his reporting is based on what Libyans think. To that, I say “So what?” That’s what Walter Duranty said when he was asked why his New York Times reporting about Stalin was so glowing. Of course now we know there was no way he could have avoided knowing about all the atrocities. Just the murders of all his fellow comrades on the ruling committee with Lenin should have been a clue.

Today, of course, the New York Times does not talk about that.

A good study on mass propaganda is the media coverage on Libya and especially Gaddafi and the recent American-led and American-financed overthrow and murder of this irritant to world hegemony everywhere and danger number one of international central bankers with his plan for a pan-African gold-backed currency. Ukrainians are demanding that the pro-Stalin NYT reporter be stripped of his Pulitzer Prize. That’s another “prize” whose decision committees have dragged through the mud by trying to praise the worst of human animals among us who deserve no honoring at all.

Where are the antiwar protestors from the Vietnam War era on this? Well, many of us are still around. Some of us, like me,are still today against all these American wars, but many are now very silent with this kind of atrocity. American rulers are now using not only other peoples’ money (ours) to finance these illegal wars, but now, it’s also other nations people to do the dirty work.

One really big lie was what he told about Towarga. That was where the anti-Gaddafi rebels (now in power in Libya) totally wiped out an entire town of black folks, population 10,000. They were such determined Gaddafi loyalists and refused to join or support the rebellion and fought the takeover. But this deceitful reporter says he spoke with rebels from nearby Misratha, and of course they told him all kinds of bad things the Towargans did against the rebels. This turns out to be what a European reporter had said about what the rebels did to the Tawargans.

He says it’s because of what Gaddafi had promised the Tawargans they did these things, but wait a minute, he promised good things to everybody who would fight on his side.

Maybe there’s a good explanation for why he thinks the way he does. There are no more Tawargans left. Some few survivors might be too afraid to venture outside certain camps where they are kept.

Tawarga is a testament to what even this reporter admitted was among the good things he had to say about Gaddafi. He treated blacks better than any of the other Arab or Muslim leaders. He treated women magnificently, they were treated as equals in his government. This Robert Draper acknowledged this when a caller demanded whether he thought anything Gaddafi had done was good.

What he did leave out was that Gaddafi had stood before the Libyan parliament and had actually repented for his supporting of terrorism previous, and renouncing it for good, and demanding that Israel and Palestine make peace, and then invited the Western nations to come and take away all his nuclear weapons.

Let’s see YOU do that. Will Obama renounce clones, or the financing of hits on enemies or stop spying on Americans?

Here you’ll find a better report on what happened to Tamarga, and in fact, what is happening to blacks all across Libya:
http://news.antiwar.com/2011/09/13/disappeared-thousands-of-libyan-blacks-turn-up-missing-in-rebel-offensives/

Sure enough, if he would have spoken to some of the Tawargan survivors of the “cleansing” (their word) that the rebels had done, he would have gotten a different story.

But then again, maybe he did talk to some of them and isn’t telling.

Tawargans are demanding that NATO and the West is to blame for their plight and that they should therefore provide protection from them. Won’t hold my breath. Now wonder some Muslims think the West is waging another Crusade. Only the warmongers among us that do the sending are not Christians.

KLAYMAN’S CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS AGAINST THE NSA AND THEIR BOSSES IN WASHINGTON
http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/klayman/130617
From the web page:

While James Rosen and Fox News did nothing wrong in reporting on North Korea, Obama and Biden both committed actual crimes in releasing classified information that resulted in the death of 22 SEAL Team 6 special ops forces and harmed U.S.-Israeli military operations and war plans concerning Iran. For this they both should be tried, convicted and thrown in prison.

Klayman has an interesting perspective on what he calls “Obama’s Mein Kampf”, meaning Obama’s press conference where he tried to spin around the Massive Surveillance State:
http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/klayman/130814

None of that “See nothing, hear nothing, know nothing” stuff. In Washington it’s “Total Information Awareness” (search it): “See everything, hear everything, know everything”.

Dig this bit:

Ironically though, by raising the defenses of “phony scandals” and his alleged attempts to reform “intelligence” gathering by the NSA, and create more so-called safeguards for the American people, Obama underscores the hard reality that he has been using and intends to continue using our intelligence services to obtain information to coerce and blackmail the citizenry into pliant submission.

Indeed, during the Clinton years, while Bill and Hillary vociferously disclaimed any role in the deaths of more than 80 key witnesses and others with some involvement in their myriad of scandals, they were happy to have their henchmen leave a list of these dead persons on the office chairs of inconveniently “alive” witnesses like Linda Tripp and other White House whistleblowers, who had the goods on their various crimes. On a smaller scale than Obama’s unbridled massive abuse of government power, this was a not-too-subtle attempt to intimidate and silence them from spilling the beans and providing evidence to send the Clintons to prison, which is where they belong. Outrageously, today, 13 years since the Clintons left the White House, we, the more than 300 million Americans whose confidential communications have been violated by this Muslim megalomaniac, are now the hands-on witnesses of Obama’s attempt to rule and transform the nation as he alone sees fit – by fear. And, we, the American people, are in danger.

But despite last Friday’s dog-and-pony show, We the People increasingly can no longer be fooled.

A growing number of patriots – white and black – people of faith, Christians, Jews and concerned citizens are in the process of waking up from their long slumber of the last five years in particular. We are no longer willing to be made to feel ashamed of our heritage and who we are and are thus losing our sense of guilt that Obama and his ilk have tried to instill upon us, and are preparing to legally fight back.
