steal, from merriam-webster:

: to take the property of another wrongfully and especially as a habitual or regular practice

If you don’t have the right to steal from me, then you don’t have the authority to do it by proxy, send someone else to do it, or vote for somebody who does it for you. Like, say, a political candidate.
