Rand has a plan

Campaign for Liberty
Dear Alan,

The U.S. Senate may vote as early as today on a measure separating those who walk the walk of fiscal responsibly in D.C. from those who merely talk the talk when on the campaign trial.

And your immediate action is urgently needed to make wavering senators walks the walk!

You see, the Senate is currently considering legislation spending $7.9 billion in relief for victims of Hurricane Harvey.

And instead of funding the aid with spending cuts, Congress is once again putting the bill on the government’s credit card. . .

Fortunately, Senator Rand Paul has an amendment that takes unspent foreign aid funds and uses them to pay for hurricane relief.

The Senate could vote on Senator Paul’s amendment as early as today!

So please call your senators at 202-224-3121 as soon as possible and tell them to vote yes on the Paul amendment to pay for Hurricane Harvey aid.

Let your senators know you expect them to pay for unexpected emergencies and not increase debt. . .

. . . just like you and your family do when faced with unplanned expenses.

Some may say that “at a time like this” with so many Americans suffering as a result of Hurricane Harvey, we cannot worry about the costs of aid.

Of course, most Americans want to help those who suffer from natural disasters to recover and rebuild. That is why there is an outpouring of voluntary giving after a disaster such as Harvey.

These private efforts are much more effective than government “aid.”

Ideally, Congress would just cut taxes and spending and let the people handle disaster recovery free from interference from federal bureaucrats.

But if Congress is going to spend money on disaster aid, the least it can do is make spending cuts to ensure the aid does not increase the national debt!

Especially when the U.S. Government is trillions of dollars in the red and the average American is already paying more in taxes than they pay for food and shelter.

Unless Congress starts cutting spending, America will soon face a dollar crisis as the Federal Reserve continues to monetize the ever-increasing amount of debt.

So please call your senators at 202-224-3121 and tell them to vote for Senator Paul’s amendment to pay for Hurricane Harvey spending!

And please chip-in $100, $50, $40, $30, or $25 to help Campaign for Liberty force Congress to tear up their credit card.

In Liberty,

Norm Singleton

P.S. The U.S. Senate is currently considering legislation to provide $7.9 billion in Hurricane Harvey relief.

The bill makes no effort to offset the costs — it simply puts the bill on the government’ s credit card.

Fortunately, Senator Rand Paul is offering an amendment to pay for the spending with unused foreign aid funds.

The Senate could vote as early as today, so please call your senators at 202-224-3121 right away and tell them to vote for the Paul amendment to pay for Hurricane Harvey aid.

And please chip-in $100, $50, $40, $30, or $25 to help Campaign for Liberty force Congress to tear up their credit card
