Israel, Abraham, promises and conditions and curses, Ahab and Pharisees

God said the (pagan) Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar was “my servant”, sent to conquer Israel for her unrepentant sins. Ahab and Jezebel were overthrown by God himself. Moses, the writer of the book of Genesis that carries the Abraham story and promises, also wrote the promise from God of a curse on the people if they disobeyed.

Jesus cried as he said “The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.”- Matt 20. The nation-state of Israel of today was created by godless socialists for their own purposes, not God. They even covered their massacres of entire towns of Arab men, women and children to panic the other residents into fleeing with the added benefit of demoralizing the Arab soldiers.

Syria’s representative at the first negotiations in Madrid a poster with the face and name of Menachem Begin, wanted for terrorism.

It is sustained with the cultural center of Orthodox Jews who whisper (even on-line) in proud tones that they are the spiritual heirs of the Pharisees. The ruling apparatus has hidden its subtle tamping down of Palestinian Christians, while much more blatantly pushing the Palestinians out.

Helping Israel in this case does not rise to the level of the king of Judah’s support for King Ahab.

God’s promise to Abraham was conditional. The people ruling Israel today may have circumcised their flesh, but they have not circumcised their heart.

The Beast becomes the enemy of Christians (and any opponents) but we must exercise righteous judgment in prayer and in clear thinking.
