Syria – It can easily turn into THE war that ends American hegemony

August 30, 2013

Syrian Rebels Manufactured Chemical Weapons Outside Damascus:
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article35964.htm

Can we believe our own government any more, and can we believe them any more than some other government? Kerry is already accusing the Syrian government of “destroying the evidence”. Just in case their lie gets too ridiculous to defend, I suppose.

Do we forget that American companies provided Saddam Hussein with the chemical weapons material and technology to use against Iran in their war? That one was amazing. America was helping Iraq, and Israel was helping Iran, it was like an “open secret”.

When the American-European media “broke the story” about chemical weapons use in Syria, the Syrian government immediately invited the UN into the country to see who it was for themselves, they said. On their way to the first place to visit, however, they were met with sniper fire.

BUT. I think this one might be the big one. Missiles start flying at Syria, they will not just lay down and take it. Israel is the Arabs’ and Muslims’ ace up their sleeves when they’re in trouble. They’re already talking about retaliating against Israel if there is a strike. Israel will not take that like they did in the earlier Iraq war, this one is too close. Golan is “occupied land” after all.

Israel has already done THREE attacks on Syria already They saved face for the Syrian government by saying it was material meant for Hezbollah. Hezbollah is already helping Syria in their war.

Syria’s war is now a war against al Qaeda and affiliates, just like Gaddafi tried to tell the West in his country.

I’m afraid it looks too much like this might be the slow-growing missile war in the Middle East that one Christian prophet had a vision about, which eventually would bring the fall of the United States.

Epic Response Letter from Conservative College Professor Goes Viral After Being Fired! – The Free PatriotThe Free Patriot:

The article deserves wide circulation.

Dear Edward:

I want to take the time to thank you for writing and telling me that I should be fired from my position as a tenured professor because I am “the biggest embarrassment to higher education in America.” I also want to thank you for responding when I asked you exactly how you arrived at that conclusion. Your response, “because you insist that marriage requires one man and one woman,” was both helpful and concise.

While I respect your right to conclude that I am the biggest embarrassment to higher education in America, I think you’re wrong. In fact, I don’t even think I’m the biggest embarrassment to higher education in the state of North Carolina. But since you’re a liberal and you support “choice” – provided we’re talking about dismembering children and not school vouchers for those who weren’t dismembered – I want to give you some options. In fact, I’m going to describe the antics of ten professors, official campus groups, and invited campus speakers in North Carolina and let you decide which constitutes the biggest embarrassment to higher education.

1. In the early spring semester of 2013, a women’s studies professor and a psychology professor at Western Carolina University co-sponsored a panel on bondage and S&M. The purpose of the panel was to teach college students how to inflict pain on themselves and others for sexual pleasure. When you called me the biggest embarrassment in higher education, you must not have known about their bondage panel. Maybe you were tied up that evening and couldn’t make it.

2. At UNC Chapel Hill, there is a feminist professor who believes that women can lead happy lives without men. That’s nothing new. But what’s different is that she thinks women can form lifelong domestic partnerships with dogs and that those relationships will actually be fulfilling enough to replace marital relationships with men. I can’t make this stuff up, Ed. I don’t drop acid. Well, at least not since the late 1980s. But I promise this story is real and not an LSD flashback.

3. At Duke University, feminists hired a “sex worker” (read: prostitute) to speak as part of an event called the Sex Workers Art Show. After his speech, the male prostitute pulled down his pants, got down on his knees, and inserted a burning sparkler into his rectum. While it burned, he sang a verse of “the Star Spangled Banner.” I believe that stripping incident was almost as embarrassing as the other one involving the Duke Lacrosse team.

4. A porn star was once paid to give a speech at UNCG. The topic was “safe sodomy.” After her speech, the feminist pornographer sold autographed butt plugs to students in attendance. I’m not sure whether the ink could contribute to rectal cancer. I’m no health expert. But I do know it was pretty darned embarrassing when the media picked up on the story.

5. A few years ago at UNC-Chapel Hill, a feminist group built a large vibrator museum in the middle of the campus quad as a part of their “orgasm awareness week.” I think that was probably the climax of the semester, academically speaking. But they certainly weren’t too embarrassed to display a vibrator that was made out of wood back in the 1920s. Keep your batteries charged, Ed. We’re about halfway done.

6. A feminist administrator at UNC-Wilmington sponsored a pro-abortion event. During the event they sold tee shirts saying “I had an abortion” to students who … well, had abortions. That’s right, Ed. The students were encouraged to boast about the fact that they had killed their own children. That’s how the UNC system is preserving the future of our great Tar Heel state.

7. The following semester, that same UNCW administrator sponsored a workshop teaching students how to appreciate their orgasms. I learned art appreciation in college. Today, college kids are taught orgasm appreciation. I will let you decide whether that’s an embarrassment to higher ed., Ed.

8 A few years ago, a UNCW English professor posted nude pictures of under-aged girls as a part of an “art exhibit” in the university library. The Provost then ordered the nude pictures to be moved away from the library and into the university union. This decision was made after several pedophiles had previous been caught downloading child pornography in the university library just a few yards away from the location of the display. The English professor was incensed so she asked the Faculty Senate to censure the provost for violating her “academic freedom.” The faculty senate sided with the feminist professor. The provost was later pressured to leave the university.

9. A different feminist professor at UNCW accused a male professor of putting tear gas in her office. She was later caught putting her mail in a microwave oven. She did this because she thought people were trying to poison her with anthrax and that the oven would neutralize the toxins. She was not placed on leave for psychiatric reasons. Instead, she was designated as the university’s official “counter terrorism” expert.

10 And then there is Mike Adams. He thinks marriage is between a man and a woman.

So those are the choices, Ed. You can simply write back and tell me which of these professors, groups, or guest speakers has caused “the biggest embarrassment to higher education” – either in North Carolina or in America altogether. Or you can just concede that our system of hire education is the real embarrassment because it has been hijacked by radical feminism. And please pardon any puns – especially those that take the form of ms-spelled words.”

In a recent conversation, when I told a couple of fellows that my father was a Pentecostal minister, they asked, “That’s kind of extreme, isn’t it?”

I pointed up Alice Cooper, “Marylin Manson”. Who’s extreme? Who bites the head off bats? Who sings about “Another one bites the dust!”? Who’s been singing about being a street-fightin’ man for decades, and at that, who’s rapping about raping b—es and killing cops (and anybody else)?

Is anybody blaming them for the decay in American society?

“The truth” as such is not subject to human whim

August 25, 2013

“Religions are human made”? Are you just stating your atheism? “Religions” may change by some definitions but the truth is the same no matter what. The Bible is true, a conclusion I was compelled to admit to after following the evidence from atheism.

People change, the truth does not, and does not depend on man’s whim. The Bible is not human made. The proof is in the pudding. 1.Prophecy fulfilled, SPECIFIC prophecies,
2.its historical narratives making total fools of 19th century archaeologists (try finding that truth in a science history class),
3.its reverence for a rational Creator (rather than the capricious gods of pagans and other theologies and world views, or even capricious men in a godless world)
3.its pronouncements on the physical world making fools of the ancient Greeks and pagans (and modern truth-denying Darwinians and neo-Darwinians),
4.its insights into wisdom and philosophy an embarrassment to man’s best attempts, and
5.its insights into human nature making fools of the pop psychologists of modern pop media. (And scientists)

Scientists are humans and they are just as big the fools as anybody else. What arrogance for SOME of them to say that they as a group have the corner on knowledge, and the rest of us should just shut up and listen and follow. And then they accuse believers of what they are guilty of!

The same thing applies to militant atheists and others who think the same way, but most especially the ones who want to force their views on others or on others’ children through compulsory state indoctrination.

Egypt, Honduras redux, Obama pushing for the dictator

August 24, 2013

An Egyptian-American reports what Egyptians really think:
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/07/09/what-egyptians-think-obama-after-morsi-disaster/

22 million Egyptians signed a peitition to recall Morsi’s (dubious) election, “more than twice the number than originally voted for him…Then 30 million people took to the streets.”

Then something totally unprecedented happened: 30 million people took to the streets. The largest mass demonstration in human history.

The Egyptian Army had tried on many previous occasions to mediate between President Morsi and the opposition. But Morsi autocratically and arrogantly refused to talk to anyone other than his masters in the Muslim Brotherhood headquarters.

In order to avoid the stigma of a coup, the military leaders met with a cross-section of the Egyptian population and religious leaders, including Islamists. As a result, they produced a wise plan calling for an election and appointing the chief justice of the Supreme Court as the interim president.

But here is the irony: while millions of Egyptians responded to Morsi’s ouster by joyfully dancing in the streets, the Muslim Brotherhood advisers in the White House helped Obama produce a non-descript statement. With his wishy-washy message about those who are democratically elected, Obama confirmed in Egyptian minds that he is in the pocket of the Muslim Brotherhood.

It is downright depressing to see the leader of the free world unable to comprehend the Islamic understanding of democracy. To the Islamist, democracy means “one man, one vote, one time.” Once they have their power, there’s no reason to ever have another election.

Thank God for the wise and courageous Egyptian people who comprehended that plan and stopped it before it was too late.

And thank God for the persecuted Christians in Egypt who have cried out to God while withstanding injustice during the reign of the Muslim Brotherhood.

As a committed Christian, I believe God has heard their cries, even when our president has covered his ears. They have set an example for every harassed believer in the world, including in America, to pray and hope that God will hear our prayers.

Answers to Objections to municipal services privatization

August 24, 2013

Objections to municipal services privatization:

However,

the reason that outsourcing these services is often less expensive is because private contractors do not have the same type of labor standards that municipal governments often do. A story in the Miami Herald explains how some South Florida municipalities are privatizing city services.

“Leaders

in Weston and Southwest Ranches, who also rely heavily on contractors, extol the benefits. They say because contractors perform tasks as needed, they are cheaper to use than full-time workers. And contractors’ benefits are often less generous than those of their counterparts in the public sector, allowing governments to hold down costs.”

Well, duh, that means “public sector” workers have benefits that are out of sync with the “prevailing benefits”. That is, they get too much.

Another

problem with privatization is that the quality of services may suffer. After all, private companies are interested in one thing: profit. These companies have incentives to cut costs by cutting corners. Compounding the problem is a lack of accountability on the part of elected officials. It is all too easy for city officials, when trash goes uncollected or a child in the child welfare system is put in unnecessary danger, to point their fingers at the contractor. This was what happened in Chicago after the city leased out its parking infrastructure. According to the Chicago Tribune, the company

“relied heavily on mall security guards and workers from a temporary job-placement agency — all with no experience in the parking industry — to reprogram the city’s approximately 36,000 meters and change over the decals that provide drivers with rates and rules.”

The

result has been “outdated fee and violation-enforcement information still posted on many meters, meters that charged the wrong hourly rates, a surge in broken meters, and stepped-up ticket writing for violations.” And elected officials have responded by blaming the private contractor.

Duh. We can easily get another private contractor. Fire them. Not so easy to get rid of deadbeats who get money from us with no recourse for us. Corruption in government? Why should they get fat off the common Joe’s dime?

Then the dumbest argument of all:

What

may be worst of all about these deals, however, is the erosion of the vital connection between government and the citizens that government is meant to serve. The privatization of city infrastructure and city services obscures the fact that governments exist in order to provide public goods. Public goods exist not because of a profit motive, but because providing these services creates a better quality of life for all of those in our society. This relationship between the public, their tax dollars, government, and public goods is the very foundation of our society; what separates us from the anarchy of the unadulterated market.

In

the end, privatization deals are ultimately bad deals. It is because the provision of city services, of public goods, is necessarily outside of the dealings of the market, where the profit motive reigns supreme. By attaching a profit motive to them, we are confusing the very reason our society provides these services in the first place, which is to improve our quality of life.

First, the tax dollars and government are forced upon everyone who has a problem with them. “Public goods” is NOT the “foundation of the society”.

Individuals and their freedoms are the “foundation of the society”, whatever society grows from their actions. At least in a society where people respect their neighbors.

And the idea that cell phones or automobiles or food do not contribute to the “quality of life” is just so preposterous it is difficult to expose the attack on logic it represents. It is a straw man, a false meme.

Yea, one slogan on one of this guy’s products: “The only part of government that actually listens”.

Libertymaniacs.com sounds like a good source for good stuff putting the ridiculous on Big Brother.

The non-aggression principle:

Democracy: Two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner.

For “what’s the alternative”, I vote anarcho-capitalism, which is based on the non-aggression principle:

http://wiki.mises.org/wiki/Principle_of_non-aggression

The non-aggression principle (also called the non-aggression axiom, or the anti-coercion or zero aggression principle or non-initiation of force) is an ethical stance which asserts that “aggression” is inherently illegitimate. “Aggression” is defined as the “initiation” of physical force against persons or property, the threat of such, or fraud upon persons or their property. In contrast to pacifism, the non-aggression principle does not preclude violent self-defense. The principle is a deontological (or rule-based) ethical stance.

The world laughs at American gullibility, has contempt not respect for Obama

August 24, 2013

As usual, most American press is feeding us a twisted picture of events in Egypt.

Morsi abandoned “democracy” in full, that’s why there was the demonstration. But the “left” and the “Democrats” are showing their fangs there and the fact that they do NOT want respect for individual rights. Easier to deal with a dictatorial regime than deal with people with freedoms.

This is Honduras redux, kind of, except more people are paying more attention. Morsi was a dictator worse than Mubarak. It’s now 70 churches –and counting– that have been burned down in Egypt –so far– with hardly a whisper from the usual government-media complex. How anybody can say the media is not synchronized by now and speaking from the same playbook is beyond me.

Morsi was elected, and many Egyptians are saying now by fraud. Maybe, maybe not. But the fact remains I am now convinced that not every land is ready for freedom. That’s why Ron Paul was not worried about having the best “campaign strategy” to win primary votes. He didn’t want a bandwagon effect, he was not out to (just) win an election (though almost all his followers pushed hard for it for real) — he said he wanted rather to “change history”. And he has.

Some Egyptians may understand in fact. The new military ruler right now broadcast a talk, and rebuked the Muslim Brotherhood by implication at least, saying if Allah refuses to force people to convert who are these guys who think they are more righteous than Allah!

Remember that next time you hear somebody say Muslims don’t speak out against the bad guys. Of course he’s protected, but lots of the Egyptians in the streets are not.

Egyptians are not the myth of leftist populist “people” fantasy that can’t wait for a socialist dictator to rob from the rich and give to the poor. Not all people are so stupid. They can see when an American president is meddling and interfering and supporting the demagogue, be he socialist are be he Islamist.
