Gary North is a libertarian that posts on http://www.lewrockwell.com on occasion, has written this set of volumes about Christian Economics, going through the Bible.

From some essays I’ve seen, I think he considers himself a (Roman) Catholic, but the series began with an article on Genesis, and he states plainly that his entire economics perspective is based on the Creation as related in Genesis One, that since the expulsion from the Garden of Eden, economics has been based on the principle of scarcity, and that all the secular perspectives are based on Darwinism.

I’ve read several of his articles, and they seem to be usually insightful when he talks about the political situation in the USA, and he certainly beats crap out of all the other Catholic “experts” I’ve seen. I haven’t read any of these volumes but wanted to share the information. I plan on downloading it all over the next few days.

He says he’s written 32 volumes, written over 30 years, and is offering them free up until December 31, 2012, with the expectation that those who read it will serve as proof-readers and inform him of typos, mistakes, and other such errata. After that, he says he’s going to charge a hefty price.

How much is your personal information worth? How about a data set consisting of over 1 million individual’s personal information complete with their full legal name, personal E-mail address, and URL to their Facebook account as confirmation? According to one ‘mystery’ company that recently sold 1 million Facebook users’ personal information to a very surprised blogger, not very much at all. About $5, to be specific.

It all started when one blogger, a self-proclaimed seeker of ‘cheap’ deals that pertain to potentially useful or interesting subjects, stumbled across an offer for ’1 million Facebook accounts’ for $5. Skeptical but willing to try it out, the blogger purchased the list to be met with much surprise when he actually personally identified many of the users on the list to be people he actually knew personally. Complete with their personal E-mail address (which Facebook is supposed to keep ‘hidden’), full names, and a link to their page to verify, this blogger had stumbled across a major corporation’s dream come true

When this blogger got in contact with Facebook people, they wanted him to send it back, delete it from his systems, and be very quiet about it, hush it up..

Ouch! And EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) is suing the NSA and the White House to get President’s Obama secret executive order that tells them to spy without warrants on our emails, IP addresses, and browsing.

It’s starting to make Bush like an actual respecter of the Bill of Rights in comparison.

Some Republicans may play along with their normal week squeaky protests against abuses of power in the White House, some will not.

They got a scapegoat but the White House still went for duck and cover behind the skirts of the United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice, who is now caught with her hands in the cookie jar, but she was taking cookies for her boss! She was no doubt hoping for a good helping of promotion.

They let her go out there and blame free speech for the seven-hour full pitched battle in Benghazi –that they watched in real-time in the White House– in which there were so many attackers that the very capable American soldiers were not able to last longer than that.

What demonstration lasts seven hours with bullets and rockets and mortar fire flying all over the place?

How much is too much? When is enough, enough already!

With the re-appointment of Obama by powers unseen, and the help of Propaganda Media, they got him past the election and avoided very much scrutiny over the different places where election fraud apparently occurred. But it is a sign of the times that things have gotten so bad in America that people are able to see this as a credible election outcome.

But the coverups in the government-media complex expose an ugly underbelly here, and the way this re-election operation was executed shows a bit of hubris, in that they now know they have a major portion of the demographic, if not the majority, that they can count on to turn their thinking on a dime without really thinking [oxymoron intended] in true Big Brother fashion.

Those who can see –because they have their eyes open– have an obligation to spread the truth and repeat the truth because truth is the best antidote to a lie. You don’t need tricks and lies and coverups if you’re telling the truth. Those who don’t want the truth are like the guy who said, “Stop it! Don’t confuse me with the facts!”

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2 Thessalonians 2:10

IT’s time for those who can prepare materially for what is inevitably coming to do so, and those who cannot to make sure they are prepared mentally, psychologically, with the knowledge of what is happening, and most importantly, spiritually.

The AP lies again about Colombian rebel group and cease-fire

Why does Fox News use such a “news” service as the Associated Press, when in their “news stories” they so blatantly favor tyranny, like they did in this article about the negotiations in Colombia between the government and the brutally murderous Stalinist FARC?

HAVANA – The top negotiator for Colombia’s main rebel group announced a unilateral cease-fire on Monday, before heading into much-anticipated peace talks with his government counterparts at a convention center in the Cuban capital of Havana.

Ivan Marquez said the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia would stop all military operations and acts of sabotage against government and private property starting at midnight Monday and running through Jan. 20.

This Associated Press story claims that this “puts pressure on the government of Columbian President Enrique Santos, who has refused to consider a cease-fire during the talks.” Very funny. The last time they had negotiations, the FARC continued full-blast war on the whole country while protected in their “safe zone” they demanded for negotiations. (See below for a funny factoid about that and the “paramilitaries”).

I was a missionary in Colombia for about two years during the heydey of the Medellin Cartel and these guerrillas. Some of their recruits at first sincerely want to help change the world and help the poor like I did when I was a Communist, but being in these movements it converts into a fight to get power and control over the body politic –over the people– supposedly for a good cause.

At least the New York Times let their readers consider the duplicity of the FARC the last time this was tried, and the obvious conclusion is that of course the government will not engage in a cease-fire:

Mr. Londoño criticized the government for conducting peace talks under the threat of continued military action.

In the last round of talks, begun in the late 1990s, the government gave the FARC a large safe zone in which to operate, but the guerrilla group used it to train troops, traffic in drugs and gather strength, stretching out the fruitless negotiations for years.

Mr. Santos said that this peace process would continue for months and that if they were not yielding concrete results, he would end them.

The Associated Press story also claims –in blatant falsehood— that the FARC is all about “land reform”, when ALL Colombians KNOW that the FARC always wanted to overthrow the government and establish a Communist dictatorship in Columbia, and they even made their cozy relationship with the Cuban government very public.

Look at these lies, keeping in mind that the FARC has been simply waging a classic guerrilla war like Mao’s in China after WW2 and Fidel Castro’s in Cuba in the 1950s, and land reform is only a straw man issue:

The talks, the result of seven months of secret negotiations in Havana, follow several failed efforts over the decades to end the conflict. [lie–>] Land reform, the heart of the conflict [<-lie], is at the top of the agenda.

The government is hoping peace leads to greater foreign investment in mining industries. It has promised to return millions of acres of stolen land to displaced peasants [<–lies], one of the rebels’ main demands.

The rebels are the ones who have stolen property, lives, towns, people, sons and daughters, and slaughtered innocent victims all over the country, and sure, they cover themselves with a few favors for their victims in the propaganda front, but if a village rebelled against their commands, they slaughtered the entire village.

AP cannot be trusted. They LIED and LIED and LIED, blatant LIES, about HONDURAS too.

That’s very funny. In 1998 Andres Pastrana was elected when he made his major platform issue a promise to negotiate peace with the FARC, the biggest guerrilla group in the country. In a show of good faith, he declared a “safe zone” inside Colombian territory the size of Switzerland, an area in which the FARC became the de facto government.

Talks began in 1999 and continued until 2002. During that time the FARC CONTINUED ALL BELLIGERENT OPERATIONS, using the “safe zone” as a protected area to bring even more hostages than ever, victims of one of their favored military strategies, kidnapping of civilians. By the time the year 2002 came around, it became obvious to anybody watching that the FARC only wanted to gain time with the advantage of a save zone to furhter their military conquest of the country.

In the next election, Alvaro Uribe was elected on a platform that promised to dedicate all resources to stopping the kidnappings, killings, attacks, and thievery perpetrated by this insurgency. During the presidential campaign, his son was murdered guerrilla-style, and he announced that it only made him much more determined to eliminate the “insurgency”.

I was there in Columbia during my years as a missionary. Columbia is a very beautiful country. Its people want peace.

Alvaro Uribe is to this day a national hero in Columbia for cutting this band of Communist thugs down to size. He was so successful, and so many more areas in Columbia were freed from the constant threat from the raids and kidnappings, that they changed their constitution to give him a second term, and came close to doing it again for a third term.

The ONLY reason that FARC wants peace talks now is that Uribe succeeded in making them just another drug trafficking gang, and a weak one at that, in spite of the generous help from devious neighbor Hugo Chavez and his band of cronies.

The neighboring nations of Venezuela and Ecuador and their leftist-fascist dictatorial presidents have been exposed as helping them and have lost any moral high ground they may have claimed, in the process.

For example, there is the Venezuela television journalist who broadcast video tape from inside a Venezuelan military base that showed FARC leadership laughing it up and enjoying a visit with Venezuelan Army generals in a base near the border.

Columbia raided a guerrilla camp barely inside Ecuador territory and got proof that the Ecuador government and the Venezuelan government were giving direct financing to them, and getting donations from them in turn for presidential campaigns, and that Venezuela was providing a safe route for export of the cocaine to the United States and other world markets.

I know that the world will move further toward overt fascism as freedom gets more restricted and their wholesale central control over our economic life increases, but even the dictatorship, they tyranny of their one-world boss, the Beast, the one some of them call their “Supreme Lord”, even he will have trouble both on his way to dominating world politics, and when he declares himself in the Middle East. Even though he will be used by God to punish America for its sins of hubris and permitted its leaders to wreak havoc on other nations, when he declares war on God’s people and begins to ravage the poor of the Earth –as socialist and fascist governments always eventually do– he will get the battle of his life, the battle of the world, and the war that will really end all wars finally for a thousand years.

Meantime, like it says in Daniel, “He shall come to his end, and none shall help him”.

Is America Socialist, Fascist, or Neither?

Hitler won power with the National SOCIALIST Party. You don’t have to have full-blown government title of all production to BE a socialist that believes in government CONTROL. Control over the disposition of goods is *de facto* ownership, whether the property is hard or soft, durable or perishable, real or not real (real estate), and whether the Disinformation Media Cartel calls it leftist or rightist. America has a Communist Party but their platform to this day does not call for immediate total confiscation of all production. In fact they bragged that Richard Nixon had implemented their own platform!

The Nazi Party was considered leftist in many circles, but it was a fascist government, because fascism is a de-facto corporate-government partnership in government, with emphasis on BIG corporations and BIG government and lots of government control over economic resources.

Obama talks like a leftist, but note that among his biggest donors are from Goldman Sachs and other of the biggest banks, famous international currency hustler George Soros (some call him “swindler”), and other mega-bucks corporate types and did I mention Goldman Sachs? And the SEC guy who supervised the looting on Wall Street is his Treasury Secretary? And they blended very smoothly with the Marxist types he brought into the cabinet, including a guy who “agreed with Mao”, one who thinks profits are obscene, another whose most admired philosopher is Mao Tse-Tung (and for PR balance Mother Theresa).

Romney believes in this fascistic mutually beneficial arrangement between BIG corporations and BIG government, with payoffs for so-called “safety net” dependency for the poor to keep them from demanding economic freedom or even thinking about it. Comfortable serfdom, even the escaping Hebrews that had to flee the Pharoah’s army pined for the comforts of slavery.

The United States and Europe have de facto fascism, because certain very large corporations of persistent duration have merged into an often explicit, often implicit, dance of mutual back-scratching.

But the false label they carry is one of a variant of socialism. In America the media calls them “liberals”, but they are the ideological brethren of the Social-Democrat parties of Europe, the Partido SOCIALISTA Dominicana (Dominican Socialist Party) considers the American congressional counterparts as fellow thinkers, and to La Socialista Internacional they are considered fellow thinkers.

But Americans have a strong national cultural heritage of individuality and resistance to collectivist thinking, and European populations have a strong continental heritage of being told what to think, what to do, by their rulers.

The real choice is between more freedom and less freedom. “Left” and “right” have become subtle triggers for social engineers, Big Brother mind-benders to use to cubbyhole people’s thinking and to help them avoid looking at issues of LIBERTY.

The demagogue yells loudly about how much a “fascist” somebody is, or “divisive” but don’t look at the names their “party” hacks call the other guy and it becomes a matter of each set of fans yelling for their side against the other.

The declaration of rights in the Virginia Constitution, upon which part of the Declaration of Independence is based, reads that men have an inherent right as human beings to life, liberty, and the means to pursue –and keep- property, as read from the Wikipedia article from that document:

Articles 1-3 address the subject of rights and the relationship between government and the governed. Article 1 states that “all men are by nature equally free and independent, and have certain inherent rights of which . . . they cannot deprive or divest their posterity; namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety,” a statement later made internationally famous in the first paragraph of the U.S. Declaration of Independence, as “we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

See, if you don’t respect private ownership and the freedom to engage freely in commerce in the exchange of goods and services to mutual increased benefit to the individuals who so decide, then you believe in restricting that freedom. You either believe in MORE freedom or LESS freedom, and it applies in economics as well as in free speech, free press, freedom of religion, freedom from arbitrary imprisonment, freedom to BE “secure” in your person, property, papers.

Poor people have as much natural right to access to a free market as big corporations, in fact they have MORE direct rights as individuals, because corporations or any other assembly or agreement among individuals, unions too, have ONLY any such rights as derive from their identity as agreements among INDIVIDUALS.

The INCOME TAX is a SOCIALIST tax, because it presumes that the government owns all your income, and it gets to decide how much you can keep. Think about what this would sound like if you applied it to FREE SPEECH or FREE PRESS.

President Issues Secret Cybersecurity Directive, EPIC Seeks Public Release

Following a Washington Post report of a new cyber security directive, EPIC has filed a Freedom of Information Act request for the release of Presidential Policy Directive 20. The Directive is believed to expand cyber security authority for the National Security Agency. EPIC is pursuing several FOIA cases, including the release of NSPD-54, an earlier Directive that gave NSA authority to conduct surveillance within the United States. EPIC has also sought public release of the technical arrangement between the NSA and Google that was adopted in January 2010. Socialism spends your children’s inheritance, and ours too

You ARE spending all your children’s inheritance when you think you get the state to pay for the nursing home and someone to change your diapers. The state pays for NOTHING, ZILCH, ZIP, NADA.

The ethical problem for takers is, they’re spending not only their children’s inheritance, they’re spending EVERYBODY ELSE’s inheritance with it.

The STUPIDITY of it all is that when the bill collector comes for his pound of flesh, the taker will whine and complain still blame the rich, blame God, blame anybody but the looting.

But by then there won’t be any of those “rich”, because the trouble with socialism is that you soon run out of other people’s money.

Except the small subgroup of the rich that has been pushing the socialist meme will have control of it all, including the “souls of men”, having converted religion into a merchandise.

We have been warned as a nation. The Federal Reserve is now a topic, and it is the most visible tool in the hands of this billionaire socialist/fascist ruling clique.

It is a private sector bank cartel with complete monopoly over all our currency, and most of the members of BOTH parties protect it. There is a small crack in their wall but they have all the money they care to print.

Now they’re in the open and they’re racing against time before there is enough momentum from the people to get the BIPARTISAN cronies in the Congress to do something about it, or a LIBERTY-minded new party gains a foothold.

The real “golden goose” is the FREE MARKET

Memo to people who vote for their own economic ruin:

That’s because marauding looters with big guns and big gangs are after everything we’ve got. And we don’t have anything. You’re looting our bosses along with your own, and they are losing their ability to pay us.

But don’t worry, like the Patrick Stewart character channeling Captain Bligh, you “will make them pay!”

Now here comes Jim Cooper (D-Tennessee) who wants to tell us that confiscating fatal chunks of the economy is good for us, by giving the media a chance to go into fits of praise for the great things government has done for us by funding projects that have absolutely no positive benefit in mind for us at all.

Memo to Jim Cooper: The only way YOU can give out money for “basic research“, meaning research nobody else wants to pay for, is because YOU and yours FLEECE the producers in the free market, and rob the owners of the golden goose.

Science accidents happen all the time in the real world, that produce real benefits by surprise. So Jim Cooper and fellow squawkers admit that on purpose have no benefit.But funding their pet projects with money taken by force from others at no cost to them is “good” for us.

And now to praise the glories of government funding what they call “basic” research, meaning research nobody else wants to pay for, there is now a “Golden Goose” award. They want us to forget the fact that this is drop in the bucket and they don’t want us to consider that to get one golden egg, we have to pay for twenty million tons of golden fleece.

It’s just like that.

Ever hear of “honeybee colony collapse disorder“? The  research company that blew the whistle on the connections they found to genetically modified crops was bought by Monsanto.

And we still haven’t seen the biggest potential dangers from all the gene manipulation, now just beginning to go public with a new study that (finally) shows that eating genetically modified foods is a health hazard.

If you think this kind of thing is worthwhile, then fund it yourself. Lots of private companies and philanthropists still do.

Christians fund as many as half a dozen radio stations with voluntary donations in every major urban area in the United States, with no coercion at all, because it is a cause they believe in.

But some people use things like they publicize to accept the things they don’t. Like they think we should play dead when they take our money so they can spend a million dollars to actually finally prove that monkeys get crazy on cocaine.

He’s just renting a part of his home out, but the city requires warrantless inspections whenever the inspectors get a whim, so he’s suing:

A Pennsylvania preacher is taking a fight over his city’s demand for a warrantless search of his residence to the U.S. Supreme Court, contending the requirement forces him to choose between two fundamental civil rights.

The appeal has been filed by the Rutherford Institute on behalf of street preacher and evangelist Michael Marcavage.

Like I said, the ACLU is AWOL on matters having to with rights related to property and self-defense.. And ah, it wouldn’t have anything to do with him being a street preacher, now, would it?

Good PR strategy. I say get government’s nose OUT of our bedrooms completely.

One “gay” “activist” said there are 10,000 official government “benefits” for married couples, and that’s why they want in on it, except he says that’s why they “deserve” it.

Why should the government have ANY say in it. Marriage benefits were originally purposed to benefit the children of the natural nuclear family, but it’s now they’ve messed it up.

Karl Marx wanted to abolish marriage altogether. There is a strong cultural bias to the tradition, pumped up by the natural chemistry that happens so often (before the movies era too), so they’ll just work on watering it down instead. Using the long gun of government to do it, fixed in the culture by the indoctrination centers owned by the rulers (aka “schools”).

They almost had all the votes counted, and lo and behold, surprise, Alan West went from 2,000 votes AHEAD to almost the same trailing. So the count flipped the race to the tune of 4,000 votes —that’s FOUR THOUSAND!– in the space of just a few thousand.

And for their puny partial recount, they invited the other candidate to watch but refused access to West’s representatives!

And you thought Florida election counting tricks was a Republican thing? Welcome to bipartisan chicanery!
