“Christian Right” and “Christian Left”

Jesus said to heal the sick, comfort the broken-hearted, set the captives free. The “fundamentalist Christian Right” have been doing this for 2,000 years WITHOUT STEALING A SINGLE DIME BY THE FORCE OF THE GUN OF THE LAW. You do NOT get ANY moral credit for sending IRS agents out by the thousands to make sure you TAKE WITHOUT SPECIFIC PERMISSION all the stuff you use for “good” things. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

The Neo-cons and “Christian Zionists” –Pharisees of this generation– indeed have left off following the Two Greatest Commandments, following Israel into denying what Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth and the life; No man cometh to the Father but by me”. Jesus said this to the same Pharisee sect that today gets special privilege in Israel –founded by godless, SECULAR and socialist Zionists, by the way.

Neither the Christian Media Establishment of today, NOR the leftist Sojourner-type Establishment Christians, are following Christ’s teachings. One is into stealing from their neighbors in the name of the sacred “majority vote” for the WARfare state, the other is into stealing from their neighbors in the name of the sacred “majority vote” for the WELfare state, and the only true recipients of all this largess in the end is either the military-industrial complex on the one hand, or the government-media-corporate complex on the other.

While they give out crumbs to keep the poor happy (crumbs they steal from the middle class) and cry “Let them eat cake!” in the imperial capital of D.C., they swear allegiance to both the “safety net” and the Constitution. But there is no safety net except for the winners in the wheeling and dealing in our Imperial occupiers’ capital.

Along come people making off with the “Christian” label who obviously do not care to “search the Scriptures, to see if these things be so”.

These are the “Christians” who see the robbery victim on the side of the road and pass by. Instead of carrying the poor guy to the inn and promising “I” will repay like the Good Samaritan, they rob the next guy to come along to pay for the first guy. Good innovators with good ideas and good business ethics like Tucker are left in ruins because they expose the whole sordid fraud of “welfare”.

While the cold-hearted “religious right” pours out tithes and of their abundance to get there first after Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Andrew and around the world to help the helpless, the oh-so-warm-hearted caring “liberals” are very liberal with their NEIGHBOR’s fruits of somebody Else’s labor, stealing as much as it takes to “help” rich politicians get richer off the backs of the poor man’s vote. They want even more –like Ron Paul said it– so they can “steal from the poor in rich countries to give to the rich in poor countries”, and call it “helping”.

And until Ron Paul, not many people paid attention to the money changers who are committing Grand Theft Inflation, robbing the resources right out from under the housewife’s grocery money to spend it on their own interests.

If you can only get your money by stealing it in taxes (taking without asking) or by printing money (exchanging your dollar’s value for a dollar of less value without having to bother getting shot back like the BURGLAR they are), then you are NOT obeying Christ, you are leaving the poor guy on the side of the road for a good Christian SAMARITAN like in the story Jesus told or David Livingston or Mother Theresa to help undo your damage to the poor.

But in an interview later, she backed off earlier comments because she was inundated by accusations of hate when she shared that members of her church were afraid for the country because of the lifting up of homosexual marriage in the nation. She was subjected to so much hate speech that she sort of recanted.

 

But take note. I heard the video (or audio) of the first comment that caused the firestorm. They were mild and did not carry the weight of conviction or authority.

 

The flood of hate that awaits anyone who has anything positive about the natural nuclear family as even an ideal, means that anyone who is going to make such a statement should know what he is talking about, know his subject, and have the firm conviction of being right.

 

Christians need to remember we are sinners and it’s not even just the soul of our nation that concerns us, but the harm that homosexual behaviors invite by the behavior, a vector for unwelcome effects. And the children of the next generation. Every child has a father and a mother who have a responsibility and obligation to the child. And every relevant study shows that by almost any measure, a child is best protected and cultivated if he has the benefit of a father and a mother who raise him together.

 

The attack on the institution of marriage got full steam ahead with Karl Marx in his Communist Manifesto. The promotion of homosexual practices, with the demands for official same-sex marriage, abortion, these things were politicized in the 19th and 20th century by secularist leaders who of a truth are fighting marriage itself. This is something they are starting to feel safe now in saying out loud for an audience.

 

Karl Marx’ intent was to dissolve it. He called it a “bourgeouis” thing, although in fact it is a universal thing. Karl Marx had his own (neglected) wife and his children came to sorry ends, in fact. The real purpose is to make future generations safe for tyranny. They do this by having the state claim ownership of the children.

(By the way, the Kremlin has a bunch of writings by Karl Marx that are still kept hidden away in secret. What kind of dark stuff is it, you ask? We do too.)

 

Jesus loves the little children. God is love, and Jesus is his love manifest to us. If anybody “owns” the children, it’s God, regardless who has the blessings of raising them.

The Crusades, Terrorism and the Middle East

The Crusades were an effort to take BACK by force that which had been taken by FORCE by Islamic conquest.
Wars are brutal and what’s missed in that is (1) the Crusades were opposed by many Christians of the day, including (2) St. Francis of Assisi, who brokered a peace between the two sides on one occasion.

The Inquisition was run by a *political* hierarchy that used the name of Christ for cover, just as today in the West the most vile of corrupt rulers use “democracy” as a cover, and a tyrannical Hugo Chavez used “majority vote” –and even God– as a cover (never mind the fraud).

How can anybody call the Inquisition period a “Christian” thing when a central issue was to BAN THE BIBLE AND BURN ITS ADVOCATES as witches? An identity thief can call himself anything. Kris Kringle or Santa Clause by any other lying name, no matter how much you paint lipstick on that pig.

Recently one Anders Behring Breivik shot 77 peaceful –and unarmed– campers dead in Norway (the first one was the only one armed security man) had advocated “Christian” culture on his web site. As soon as they saw the word “Christian”, CNN ran a feed at the bottom of the screen for hours on end, days, that said “Christian fundamentalist” — a criminally negligent and slanderous accusation against a great number of peaceful Christian fundamentalists. Because on the same web site where they got the word “Christian”, the shooter said that he did NOT believe the Bible and he did NOT believe in Jesus. CNN shows itself again to be “fundamentally” bigoted against the name of Jesus Christ.

It is also a sign of truncated thinking and anti-Christ bigotry to equate Christian and Islamic holy books or actions. Even militant Islamists –as they are painted in the Western media image of them–are no doubt offended at this irrational equivalency-by-monotonous-repetition equivalency meme. Atheists who do not have the need to invent such contortions, are appalled by this too. The worst horrors of history were done by officially and enforced atheist regimes that banned all religious faiths from any public expression.

In one of them, both the central figure (Christ) laid down his life to the death for unbelievers at the beginning, and millions of his followers have done the same since. In the other, the founding figure laid down the lives of unbelievers at the beginning, and 100s of thousands, maybe millions, of his followers have done the same thing since.

Most Muslims want to live in peace, and support their families. I have cultivated close friendship with Muslim co-workers, and we have talked about the principles of our faiths without even raising our voices. Many Muslims risk beheading for accepting Jesus Christ as risen Savior and many Christians risk beheading in many parts of the world for being Christians.

“Terrorism” is a very broad category of tactics used by small groups to leverage such tactics where the proponent is otherwise weak in power.We see the “blowback principle” take effect when the people targeted by such actions become enraged.

The unconstitutional undeclared “war against terrorism” was a Newspeak tactic to propel the U.S.A. and the world into a permanent state of war. All the easier to take away the “freedoms” that “they” supposedly hate us for. It all too easily expands into asking the subjects of the rulers to tell authorities about anybody who “hates the government”. We have seen this movie before.

Michael Scherer said it well, something like, They’re not over here because we’re free to enjoy a few beers at night, they don’t like us bombing and invading them. Nobody can accuse Mr. Scherer of gullibility. He was the head of the team that sought Osama bin Laden all those years and set it up for the next team to find him. I doubt he is portrayed in the Hollywood movie about the search.

He has explained many times in media interviews the established principle of “blowback”, a term often used within the CIA for such a phenomenon, where your actions have reactions. This is *NOT* a “blaming America” thing.

Who decided to bomb and invade over there? Was there ever any debate in Congress, as constitutionally required in the U.S., about a declaration of war? Was it “America”, or was it America’s rulers?

Was there ever a debate in Congress over whether to declare war on Libya? Or did America’s *rulers” decide to send in military force (Special Forces) on the ground while denying it? When the “rebels” began losing, who decided to bomb the crap out of Libyan government forces?

There were lots of talking heads that declared Gaddafi was murdering civilians. But the best evidence of massacre of civilians are the pictures of the town that is no more, obliterated, its inhabitants wiped out and “cleansed”, that the entire town of Tawarga.

It’s not that the murderers who perpetrated this racist atrocity hid anything. They bragged about it, they bragged that they were not going to let it rebuild, they bragged about wiping out the 10,000 black-skinned Africans who built it up. Towarga burning:

No wonder they have to charge the price of a meal for one cup of coffee… And I heard this guy on C-Span claim he wants to “give back” for his success, after being raised poor. Yeah? He has a couple of programs to help starting enterprises, but he wants to loot his neighbor’s stuff for most things. He is welcome to give alms “of his substance”, as Jesus said about the Pharisees giving to the poor, but he is not welcome to advocate theft, even if he can get the majority to vote for robbing the minority.

Pastor Jeffress CANNOT believe in the Bible “cover to cover” if he does not believe its historical accuracy in the straightforward reading of it. The six-day creation is emphasized scripturally in 21 different ways right there in Genesis One, by the word “day” itself, PLUS the ordinal numbering of the day (the 2nd day is the day after the 1st day), PLUS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY the emphasis given to the 24-hour day as we know it by the use of the “evening and the morning”.

Make no mistake: Jesus believed in the Creation as told in Genesis, it’s plain to see and clearly shown. He talked about Adam and Eve, and He who made them.

Wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing have infiltrated congregations and are teaching doctrines of devils.

Jeremiah 2 shows you that Darwinian (and neo-Darwinian) evolution are just ancient pagan myths, a “stock art my father” and a rock “hath brought be forth”. Nothing new under the sun. This is a materialistic superstition of modern pagans (atheists) who cling to these dogmas so as to escape believing in God.

Besides, the facts of science itself has brought 10s and 100s of thousands of hard physical scientists to faith in God. Polonium halos, polystrate fossils, inverted sedimentary layers, sea shells covering the land surface in every conceivable corner of the world, the Cambrian explosion, the fossil record testifying to original special creation of each kind, the spectacular design of the purely symbolic digital coded language of DNA, the spot-on prediction of the magnetic field strength of Saturn and Uranus by young-earth Creation scientist Russ Humphreys (putting to shame all the official dogma-enforcing NASA scientists –and prediction based on Genesis One)…

The list is tens of thousands of proofs of the precise accuracy of the word of God and the facts make fools out of the smarter-than-thou snotty-nosed class that have to revise their own dogmatic just-so blabber every couple of years because the FACTS keep proving them wrong over and over again.

“Same sex marriage”

A commenter reacts: “I believe that the foe of God; is Church! & Bible. Wisdom is rare.”

Except for “Wisdom is rare”, this is an uneducated encapsulation of a big mix of intellectual errata concerning the Bible. The simplest way to explain libertarian principles to a Christian is the Golden Rule. For example, almost every father and mother who discovers that their son is smoking pot, they do not really want their son to go to prison, they want to persuade him to stop. The possibility of prison has not proved a very effective argument for the users.

The Christian who says he is a “Democrat” really means he wants to use the state to force all of his neighbors to follow “Christian” principles of “visiting the orphans and the widows” and giving alms. An honest one may understand the contradiction of saying stealing is okay because you will use (some of) the loot to help the poor. “I will not give unto the Lord [or one of the least of these] that which hath cost me nothing”, said the Psalmist.

The Bible is a God-inspired document; and the watermark is in the literally 1000s of SPECIFIC prophecies therein, many 100s of them fulfilled. Plus 10s or scores of assertions that became discoveries. And that is without even considering the evidence of Creation.

And the Bible (Old plus New Testaments together) is the most libertarian document there is. Beginning with the fact that salvation is individual, and discipleship is an individual decision. It’s the whole concept of YOU are responsible for what YOU do, morally, and you will reap what you sow.

The early disciples “had all things common” but it was PURELY VOLUNTARY. Common property was a voluntary understanding on joining the disciples, and anybody could leave anytime.

Even under the laws of Moses, anybody could leave the group at any time, like Jesus’ example of the prodigal son. And forget minimalist government; it provided for NO GOVERNMENT AT ALL to empower corruption. Priests had ceremonial duties and they were judges in matters of capital offenses. In the US, many have gotten death penalties based on the word of ONE witness; under the Mosaic law you had to have TWO.

The claims about recognition of same-sex marriage are moot if the state is removed from the equation. Private hospitals can make their own rules in a free market, and you can use the one that allows whomever you want to visit you. Marriage as we know it in the West was a common-law arrangement that has evolved into statist control.

“Christians” are guilty historically of letting themselves use the state to take over things like marriage. Or vice versa. They lost their way, they should concentrate on sharing the truth with others and knowing the “why”. My faith is based on facts, history, reason and logic, but FORCE is NOT the way to stop sin or spread that faith!

The Bible CONDEMNS using force to spread the gospel, that methodology belongs to others. The worst “Christian” atrocities were done by political authorities that BANNED the Bible! For example, the first knowledge John Knox had of any Bible was a listing of banned books!

Anybody can make a commitment. I am married to my wife in all its fullest meaning, but I had to get a marriage certificate to get a visa for her. My solution to the visa thing in order is (1) free trade, free movement both directions, and (2) anybody entering contracts as they see fit.

Lastly, the subject of whether “gayness” or “gay marriage” is good for somebody, or whether aspartame is harmful for you, or whether there exist climatologists who expose climate-gate scientifically (there are), all people expressing themselves for and against have the right to express it.

Gays can put crosses in urine and they say nothing, but let an ex-homosexual help others that ask for help to go straight. Movie “No Greater Love”: One thing missing

The writers of this movie wanted to lift up the idea of lifetime monogamous marriage and the idea of forgiveness. Of course this always gets into the romance of it too. But they did one thing wrong in the script.

 

They set it up so that after ten years of abandoning the husband with the child, the husband had found another woman who really loved him. When the ex-wife shows up, he breaks up with the new love and she is devastated. None of the Christians in the context are concerned about her at all. And that is the end of her in the whole thing.

 

That is a real shame. Sure it complicates the plot, but if you want to show Christian love in a movie about Christian love, marriage, matters of the heart and hurt, you go into that too.

Allow me to debunk the mother of all “conspiracy theories” that says the disciples of Jesus Christ master-minded a hoax for the centuries to beat all hoaxes of all time.

One thing is that often “skeptics” make the same mistake that believing Christians often make. Many of them don’t bother with evidence, despite that fact that the very New Testament tells them to learn the evidence.

Simon Greanleaf, once known as the father of the rules of evidence, was the Dean of the Harvard Law School, one day declared he didn’t believe in the silly Resurrection story. A student challenged him to apply his own rule of checking the evidence before declaring confidence in something. He did and the result was “The Testimony of the Evangelists“, the subtitle declaring his newfound faith.

In Acts Paul shared the evidence in every testimony of his faith to rulers and kings, and eventually the Emperor. The New Testament has him debunking the accusation of fable, pointing out the fact of 500 witnesses. The gospels are a record of Thomas’ own testimony as to the evidence, and more blessed are those who must check the evidence of historical fact and logic, not just a thrust through the side.

Roman guards that fell asleep on the job or would allow the disciples to steal the body would be executed on the spot. How can the disciples steal the body right under their nose? Those Roman soldiers went to the priests instead of their commander for that very reason, and that’s why the priests took on the task of dealing with their commanders. That’s evidence that the HIGH PRIESTS KNEW he had risen from the dead too. Their cover story went into the Talmud, by the way, Jesus’ enemies confirm his miracles in the Talmud, claiming they were witchcraft of Beelzebub, like the Bible says.

The description of Jesus’ medical symptoms after the beatings, the sword thrust in the side, the blood and water, etc, confirmed by medical doctors today as accurately describing what the reaction would be to what he went through, including the death while still on the cross.a

The first witnesses to the resurrection were women, something culturally counter-intuitive at the time. Any hoax or made-up fable, even one that “evolved”, would have had men being the first ones to bear the news, not women.

THE REFERENCES TO SKEPTICS AND MOCKERS in the last days refers to those who REFUSE TO BELIEVE THE EVIDENCE.

God says this:

“Prove me now herewith”

“Concerning the works of my hands, command thou me”.

He commands believers to “have an answer” for those who question our faith. That means we must learn the facts that validate the faith.

The faith of Hebrews 11 describes a “fact-based” faith. We have learned so much to count on God’s Word to be true, that it surpasses everything else. So much evidence piles up. A spontaneous universe with dozens of precisely calibrated universal constants, and that cultivates spontaneous bio-generation of life, with its enormously programmed digital coded language and interpretation machinery, and saying nobody designed it, now THAT is truly BLIND faith.

THE END-TIMES HAS NOT ALWAYS BEEN LIKE ITS SKEPTICS SAY.

For two thousand years, Bible scholars said it “the End” would not happen until israel was reestablished as a nation. That’s only one reason so many evangelicals get their theology all screwed up and think God wants them to support the political and secular nation of Israel so much. Christian Zionists are as confused as some of the Jews.

Wow. All this talk about Christian doctrine variants more especially in the comments from people who don’t know very much about the subject, and repeat talking points from others who don’t know very much either.

Rothbard did understand some of the nuances of the doctrines and how they would relate to libertarians, especially with respect to Gary North, but there was some lack there. And he seemed to completely leave my views out, but then my Biblical views are not too well known even among Christians. (But for those who do it’s closest to “post-Trib”.)

Stay tuned, the only set of laws God mandated for a nation on the planet, was based on no earthly political government at all, and had no enforcement arm except the people themselves (who did a poor job of it in fact). And FORBAD taking a free man slave by the way.

Almost all of us alive today were robbed of the knowledge that THE “father of modern science”, Isaac Newton, was a young-Earth creationists. Oh, and NOW we have science. (Newton didn’t I guess haha).

And robbed of history. St. Patrick‘s legacy is literacy in Ireland, the end of slaving raids between Ireland and England, the saving of Greek and Roman classics by the Irish who learned to love Christ and books from Patrick, the re-introduction of learning and culture to Europe by the Irish and British monks.

And the one man identified with the end of slavery in the British Empire, William Wilberforce, who was sent back to the mission field of the British Parliament for that purpose by the repentant former slaver John Newton (“Amazing Grace”).

Europe’s history of Roman-heritage slavery faded away with the influence of former slave St. Patrick’s legacy, led an entire island of chiefs and serfs, and demon-worshippers and human sacrifices, Druid treat or tricksters, into the people that loved Christ and loved learning and saved many of the pagan Roman and Greek classics we have today.

Libertarianism itself that owes much of its philosophy to the influence that Christ has had in culture for two millennia. The “Golden Rule” has taken a very long time to get to the place where we are now at, and has had the obstacles of many identity thieves who took the credentials of the Prince of Peace to make war on their own people and their neighbors –though never with the savagery of pagans and unbelievers gone before and after.

And this may come as a shock to some Christ-haters, and some who are not so hostile, but the only government God ever really ordained directly was NONE AT ALL, outside the sense in which God is in ultimate control of it all (except where he lets you destroy yourself). Yep there were gobs of rules, and those rebellious and murmuring persnickety Jews in the Exodus that kept whining for how good they had it back in Egypt when they were slaves, they needed them.

There were some penalties ordained that we see today as harsh but you can go read for yourself how fast they quit obeying them and did NOT apply those penalties. And when they demanded a government, God told Samuel to tell them they had rejected HIM.

That’s a real theocracy, with no human mediator except Christ.

As to the relationship of millennial doctrines with political application, please observe that there are LOTS more atheists who are hell-bent on implementing their varied political philosophies and imposing their ways of life on the rest of us –lying platitudes from some of them notwithstanding– than there are Christians trying to run a guerrilla operation to take over. We are still tortured around the world by Christ-haters, along with other dissidents in whatever political geography, while the very loud “fag”-haters and “dominionists” can’t get more than a few dozen followers now.

And I know many devout Christians, born-again believers, who believe the Bible cover to cover, who are some of the most reliable libertarians there are. They have both the spiritual, the Biblical, and the political truths on their side. Some of them condemn homosexuality with the most emphatic language when congregated but exhibited the love and grace of God with homosexuals in their support for Ron Paul, for example.

Jesus did say “Go and sin no more” to the adulterous woman but just before that he said “Neither do I condemn thee”.  Like the early Christians, those who understand among the people shall instruct many, and instead of killing the infidel to spread their message (like pagans, fascists, socialists, and many atheists have done) they lay down their lives like their Christ.
