There is Senator McCain and Lindsey Graham are babbling in the Senate as we speak, getting broadcast on CSPAN.
They seem to find the concern about Americans on American soil laughable to them.
Nobody disagrees about what to do with an imminent threat. They seem to think it’s just fine to have top secret councils where Obama decides to kill an American on American soil without a warrant signed off by a court and a jury trial if he should so want it. That the president can order a kill without the constitutionally required warrant and trial by jury.
There is NOTHING in the Constitution that permits such arbitrary and secret kill lists.
Lindsey Graham even burned the dictionary by saying you can be an “imminent threat” just by belonging to an organization. He is also saying it’s never going to happen in the United States.
HOW IN THE WORLD DOES HE KNOW ANYWAY? Besides which it’s a violation of the Constitution. Trusting ANY president with that kind of entitlement is a slippery slope.
What a bunch of gullible politicians!
We’re talking about an administration that says it’s unconstitutional to torture anybody anywhere, but it’s okay to kill them where they stand.
God help us all.

Holder sent a message to Rand Paul, claiming that Rand Paul had asked an additional question. NO IT WAS NOT! During that long hearing, Eric Holder had refused to answer the question of constitutional authority and refused to clearly say that Obama did not have constitutional authority to do kill Americans on American soil if they merely sitting in a cafe.
The Attorney General and the Obama administration are trying to take advantage of the fact that most people did not actually listen to the exchange.
Rand Paul repeatedly asked if Holder thought whether it was “constitutional”. Holder kept saying “not appropriate”. That’s a weasel word that only meant that he did not want to say publicly that Obama does NOT have the (constitutional) authority to order a kill.
Holder has finally sent a message, the next day, in a damage control effort it looks like, saying “No”, the president does NOT have such authority if there is no imminent attack under way.
Finally. But it is telling that it took a filibuster of 13 hours and the focus of the news cycle on the issue for the White House to finally respond with what should have been the OBVIOUS answer, immediately after the question.
